Night of the Hunter, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: Night of the Hunter
Year: 1955
Genre: Suspense/Thriller, Drama
Length: 1hr.33min.
Stars: Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters

Plot:
The Night of the HunteMy Thoughts:
While watching this film I wasn't sure if I seen this one or not. Some things seemed familiar while others didn't. Of course some of it could be from pop culture like the love/hate tattoos on his fingers. But the eerie singing as he walked seemed familiar to me and not sure how else that would be. I liked this one a lot! there was a few slow scenes in it to me buta great film over all and I would definitely highly recommend it. I had to borow a copy to watch it, so hoping to add it to my collection before too long.

My Rating:
4.5 out of 5

Scream Bloody Murder, a review by Jimmy

Title : Scream Bloody Murder (1975)

Overview
A young man kills his own father and is subsequently set to a mental institution where he remains for many years. Upon his release, he returns home to discover his mother has remarried and, after growing to dislike his new step-father, murders the gentleman as well as his own mother. The crazed man then turns his attention to a young artist whom he has become obsessed with and continues his murderous ways in order to be with her.

My Impression
I love this one  ;D Typical seventies independant low budget drive-in horror picture that are so much better than anything made now. Great performance by Fred Holbert as the insane killer, this is only movie and it's a little bit surprising. The story doesn't loose time to give a backstory to the character (we see him right at the beginning killing his father and right after that we see him returning with his mother many years later after his released from the asylum) and it's a good thing since I want to have fun when I watch a movie and not listen that a guy act this way because he was teasing when he was at school  :P. Nice effects, low budget but this is alright for me. No happy ending in this.

Very good discovery. While I was watching it my first reaction was that this movie need a special remastered edition with a lot of extra and good news the right of this belongs to Grindhouse Releasing. So we can hope for a nice special edition in the coming years, I will be first one to buy it.

Tom's TV Pilots marathon, a review by Tom

The Greatest American Hero
Greatest American Heroine
Writer: Babs Greyhosky (Writer)
Director: Tony Mordente
Cast: William Katt (Ralph Hinkley), Robert Culp (Bill Maxwell), Connie Sellecca (Pamela Davidson), Mary Ellen Stuart (Holly Hathaway), Mya Akerling (Sara Hathaway), John Zee (Alien), Jerry Potter), Wayne Grace), Jeffrey Markel (Timothy)

Originally this was supposed to be a pilot for a new series, but it was not picked up. Instead in now serves as the last episode of the series. Which works quite well. It shows how and why Ralph has to give away the suit.
