My Thoughts:
My brother and I just finished watching this one. I found it to be a pretty cute... and fun film. Though it is a bit overly heavy on the music. But I shouldn't be surprised what with the film being a little on the long side. For me the saving grace of this film had to be Dick Van Dyke... but I have been a fan of his for many years now. I can see how this film has become such a classic over the years... even if it won't be that special to me personally. Don't get me wrong... I did enjoy it and can see myself watching it again... but it isn't something I could watch very often. Through-out the beginning of the movie I was trying to figure out just what Mary Poppins is... a good witch?... a fairy god mother?... guardian angel?... what? Then I finally came to the conclusion that this movie took place in a world where magic is a very real thing. Or did I somehow miss some big reveal? Over-all I would say this is a fun classic musical that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Brotherhood Of The Wolf, a review by Rich

Brotherhood Of The Wolf

A dangerous, thrilling mystery of chilling proportions, BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF leaps from the screen with breathtaking action and incredible suspense blended with high-flying martial arts excitement.
When a mysterious beast ravages the countryside, two unlikely heroes are called in to fight the evil. The only way they can save the land from this unspeakable terror is to face their greatest fears, unearth a dark power and reveal a deadly secret. Harry Knowles of Aintitcoolnews.com raves, "A Remarkable Film. As Cool As They Come!"

A remarkable mix of fact and fiction, a fantasy like film involving martial arts, witchcraft, an indian, hero and heroine, and of course the French fabled beast from the 18th century.
Despite all of this it is incredibly dull, hollow and ridiculous. The plot is predictable, the acting average at best, and the direction weak. I would rate a hammer house of horror above this attempt, as it spiralled downhill after the first quarter of an hour. The scenery is pleasant, some of the effects inspiring, but the length of the film is truly painful and a marathon to endure.

Tom's TV Pilots marathon, a review by Tom

Wonderfalls
Season 1.13 Caged Bird
Writer: Krista Vernoff (Writer)
Director: Michael Lehmann
Cast: Caroline Dhavernas (Jaye Tyler), Katie Finneran (Sharon Tyler), Tyron Leitso (Eric Gotts), Lee Pace (Aaron Tyler), William Sadler (Darrin Tyler), Diana Scarwid (Karen Tyler), Tracie Thoms (Mahandra), Neil Grayston (Alec), Jeffrey R. Smith (Mall Security Guard), Glenn Fitzgerald (Bank Robber), Jewel Staite (Heidi), Elissa Lansdell (Reporter), Diego Fuentes (Cop #1), Susie Dias (Cop #2), Demetrius Joyette (Shoplift Kid), Bryan Hart (Night Cleaner), Michael Anthony (Costumer #1), Stefanie Drummond (Costumer #2), Scotch Ellis Loring (Muse Voice (voice))

A great show with only great episodes (except one: "Totem Mole" was garbage full of unindented racism). This last episode is just as good as the others. And a good conclusion. I have read how the series would have continued if it had another season or two. Could have been interesting, but could also have been bad. This way we got one great season without a major cliffhanger.
