Stars: Vince Vaughn as Brad Reese Witherspoon as Kate Robert Duvall as Howard Sissy Spacek as Paula Jon Voight as Creighton Jon Favreau as Denver Plot: Every Christmas happily unmarried Brad and Kate escape divorced parents and exasperating relatives by getting on a plane. This year, the airport shuts down and the couple is forced to celebrate four family Christmases in one hectic, hilarious day. Can Brad and Kate's relationship survive Four Christmases? Extras:
My Thoughts: Before the movie I watched the trailer. And to be honest didn't know what to think... could have been good... could have been bad. So I went into it a little hesitant. While I found it to be entertaining... it was no more then an average film. There is so many better Christmas films out there that I would recommend seeing before this one. While I feel Reese Witherspoon did a fine job... I didn't feel quite the same way with Vince Vaughn as his seemed overly stiff and forced. Even for the character that he was playing. I really did like the premise of the film... just that the outcome should have been better. My Rating: (From Christmas Reviews 2014 on December 2nd, 2014) Cube, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Cube: Signature Series Movie Count: 22 TV Ep Count: 6 Time Started: 7:30am Plot: Six ordinary strangers awaken to find themselves in a seemingly endless maze of interlocking cubical chambers armed with lethal booby traps. Without food or water, they have only a few days to live. None of them knows how or why they've been imprisoned, but soon discover that each possesses a skill that could contribute to their escape. As they work together to extricate themselves from their claustrophobic cell, one thing becomes painfully clear -- unless they learn to cooperate to solve the secrets of this deadly trap, none of them has very long to live. My Thoughts: Cube is a long time favorite of mine. Every since I originally saw it on Sci-Fi Channel years ago. I ordered it immediately when I found out it was released on DVD. This was before the Signature Series came out... But it didn't take me long to upgrade it. And for some strange reason... I was never able to part with the original release of this movie.. Cube movie definitely has it's share of gore in it... but it has much more then that... shows what people are capable of in the name of survival. And you better believe... some of it is not pretty. Another thing I really enjoyed in this movie... it was my first introduction to Nicole DeBoer... an actress I quickly became a fan of. My Rating (From My Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon: 2008 on October 6th, 2008) "Due South" marathon, a review by Tom1.22 Letting Go (1995-06-01) Writer: Paul Haggis (Created By), Jeff King (Writer), Kathy Slevin (Writer) Director: George Bloomfield Cast: Paul Gross (Constable Benton Fraser), David Marciano (Detective Ray Vecchio), Beau Starr (Lt. Harding Welsh), Daniel Kash (Detective Louis Gardino), Tony Craig (Detective Jack Huey), Catherine Bruhier (Elaine), Melina Kanakaredes (Victoria Metcalf), Laurie Holden (Jill Kennedy), Jennifer Dale (Dr. Carter), Frances Hyland (Fraser's Grandmother), Gordon Pinsent (Fraser Sr.), Joseph Scoren (Kevin), Linda Griffiths (Bernice), Andy Marshall (Resident) A good episode. It is Due South's take on Rear Window. This episode also deals with the aftermath of the previous two-parter. Rating: (From "Due South" marathon on July 27th, 2009) |
