Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Bonus Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Gallery Closed Captioned My Thoughts: I wanted to watch this one... as I have seen the first Fantastic Four movie several times... but only ever watched this one once when I first got the DVD. It has been so long in fact that I forgot most of the movie. While I think I liked the first one a bit more... this one is still a good movie that I enjoyed a lot. One that is just fun to sit back and watch.... without having to think about too much. I thought the Silver Surfer was done very cool. Jessica Alba looked amazing as always. Not sure how I felt about the changing of powers thing. I think it was fun for the most part... but didn't really care too much when Johnny had all 4 of their powers. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Sunday Mini-Marathon: Celebrity Birthdays - June 13th on June 13th, 2010) Mirrors, a review by RichMirrors Attempting to pick up the shattered pieces of his life, a disgraced former cop (Kiefer Sutherland) takes a routine job guarding the charred ruins of a once-famous department store. But the terrifying images he see in the store's ornate mirrors will send him on a pulse-pounding mission to unravel the secrets of the building's past... before they destroy his entire life! Tense, suspenseful, creepy, frightening, gripping, yes this film scared the crap out of me. Hardened horror genre fans may not be so impressed, but I actually felt disturbed at points, the bath scene and 'rebirth' of schizo girl in particular, and the amazing effects and apt music made this a superb film. This for me is how a supernatural film should be, so close to reality that it makes you think it could be you, graphic death scenes, and afterwards you actually feel nervous to look in a mirror. A skeptic might say this is rather an overtold storyline and shallow plot (Pete - PLEASE buy this as I want you to review it), but for a horror novice such as me it was great entertainment, and I highly recommend it as a purchase. A slightly too obvious twist in the tale leaves you with plenty of reflection. (From Riches Random Reviews on March 10th, 2009) Tom's Random Reviews, a review by Tom
Stars: Andre Braugher as Darkseid (voice) Kevin Conroy as Batman (voice) Tim Daly as Superman (voice) Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman (voice) Summer Glau as Kara (voice) Plot: Batman discovers a mysterious teen-aged girl with super-human powers and a connection to Superman. When the girl comes to the attention of Darkseid, the evil overlord of Apokolips, events take a decidedly dangerous turn. Extras:
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this one. Even though its title is Superman/Batman, this is more of a Supergirl movie. It is essentially an origin story for her. And who would be better than Summer Glau to voice her.The Blu-ray also contains a short Green Arrow movie. This is the first time that I saw Green Arrow in something outside of "Smallville". I also enjoyed this movie. It also has a short appearance of Black Canary. Furthermore it contains four episodes of the 90s Superman animated TV series. "Little Girl Lost (Part 1+2) introducing Supergirl. And "Apokolips...Now! (Part 1+2). Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on June 28th, 2012) |
