Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the Thirteenth, a review by Tom
Stars: Aimee Graham as Screw Chris Palermo as The Killer Kim Greist as Mrs. Peacock Harley Cross as Dawson Simon Rex as Slab Plot: A reporter (Thiessen) investigates a series of murders called the Spring Break Massacre which leads to further mayhem. Extras:
My Thoughts: This movie came out around the same time as Scary Movie. But was less successful. Whereas Scary Movie was funny, this one wasn't. It had some nice ideas, but they weren't executed very well. I originally bought this movie, because it stars Majandra Delfino (Maria from Roswell), Julie Benz (Darla from Buffy) and Danny Strong (Jonathan from Buffy).Rating: (From Tom's Horror Marathon 2012 on October 5th, 2012) 101 Dalmations, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Rod Taylor as Pongo J. Pat O'Malley as Colonel/Jasper Badun Betty Lou Gerson as Cruella De Vil/Miss Birdwell Martha Wentworth as Nanny/Queenie/Lucy Ben Wright as Roger Radcliff Plot:Extras: My Thoughts: This is a fun classic Disney animated film. One I have not seen since I was a little kid. The style of the animation, while much simpler then what we are used to today, brought flashbacks of my childhood. The story here is fun and keeps your interest with ease. I definitely recommend it... think this is one everyone should see at least once. Rating: (From July Movie Marathon: Musicals (Yes... You read right!) on July 24th, 2016) My PILOT Marathon, a review by RichCriminal Minds: The First Season Extreme Aggressor After a fourth woman goes missing in Seattle in a period of four months, the BAU is brought in to track down the abductor before he kidnaps again. Meanwhile, SSA Aaron Hotchner is asked to evaluate SSA Jason Gideon secretly to determine if he is really ready to work full-time again after returning from a six-month leave of absence. Criminal Minds revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Disappointing pilot episode, the coincidentalness of the plot and its solving was just too much to swallow, if it were really that easy the FBI would be catching serial killers every 5 minutes. Similar in an inferior way to CSI, the 1st episode lacks the disturbing punch I have read follows in later episodes, where of course a different story is told each time. I didn't warm to the actor who plays the lead Gideon, and the remainder of the cast I felt were banal and wooden. Will persevere with the series in due course based on so many highly praising reviews, but if based solely on the pilot it would have gathered dust. If you want a more credible series in this vain, definately invest in my previously reviewed Cracker. (From My PILOT Marathon on September 13th, 2009) |
