Born to Be Sold, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Born to Be Sold Year: 1981 Director: Burt Brinckerhoff Rating: NR Length: 97 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: N/A Stars: Lynda Carter Harold Gould Philip Sterling Dean Stockwell Sharon Farrell Lloyd Haynes Plot: Lynda Carter is Kate Carlin, a caring social worker suddenly drawn into a horrid reality of underworld mayhem. Babies are bought from troubled teenagers and then are placed into the hands of unstable parents for a fee. As Kate investigates the businessman believed to be responsible, the band of villains working for him puts her life in danger. Threatened and manipulated, she jeopardizes her job desperately trying to crack the operation wide open. Extras: N/A My Thoughts: This movie is out of a boxset of old TV Movies that was recently given to me. A release called Life, Love and Romance. The first thing I noticed is that they didn't put too much time and effort into cleaning up the prints. I mean it wasn't terrible... but it was like watching a second generation VHS tape. The movie itself was pretty good. I definitely enjoyed it. And it was good to see Lynda Carter in another role. Though I must admit whenever I saw her character in trouble I half-heartedly expecting her to do her spin and turn into Wonder Woman. The teen girl in this... the girl trying not to give up her baby... she looked familiar. The part is played by Donna Wilkes. Not a name that is very familiar to me. But Checking DVD Profiler I realized why she looked familiar to me. She was in an episode of The Incredible Hulk that I recently watched. Plot: Betrayal is a Bitch. A hypnotic opera where love and loss walk hand in hand, Rumbling Hearts doesn't shy away from the sad song of real life. Fans of the romance genre must surely take note! Tough situations are conveyed with surprisingly realistic emotion, creating a genuine keepsake production for those who know the most intense conflict comes from within. You will be forever changed. Four high school friends, basking in life's shining promise that everything will be perfect... Until tragedy intercedes. A horrible accident leaves Haruka comatose and her loving boyfriend Takayuri broken by the burden of blame, stumbling in a wounded waking dream. Mitsuki becomes his willing caretaker, but their self-destructive relationship is ravaged by guilt and pain. When Haruka stirs from slumber after three long years, a desperate charade begins. Lips whisper lies and trade secret kisses of betrayal. Some things can never be undone. Silver linings slip away under every moon. The sunrise is so often bittersweet. Rumbling Hearts 1.01 Friends to Lovers This is the first time that I ever saw an episode of this series. Based on it I can say, that this could be a series I might enjoy.
