My Thoughts:
This is one of the movies in the Alfred Hitchcock: The Legend Begins set. It is a boxset of 20 of his early movies... most of which from the '20s and '30s. I got the set for only $5 so needless to say quality wise I was expecting the worst. While it did have it's problems... I was pleasantly surprised with the quality.

When I first put this on I was started to get discouraged. While amusing... I expected much more from it. Then about a 3rd of the way through it they finally get onto the train. This is where the movie picked up for me. I liked Margaret Lockwood in this movie. This is the first thing I have seen her in... but I found her both attractive and entertaining. And I have to admit I got more then one laugh out of the little fight the 3 characters had in the freight car.

The movie seemed to have 3 distinct parts. The first 3rd of the movie introducing the characters... some comedic situations. Entertaining but I expected more form it. Then there is the 2nd part of the movie which was the mystery itself. This was my favorite part of the entire movie. And then the final 3rd of the movie to solve the mystery and have the conclusion. This I liked more then the first part... but not as much as the middle. Over all I feel this is a very good... entertaining movie. This movie alone is more then worth the $5 price for the 20 movie set it is in.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes, a review by Antares

Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes (1972) 3/5 - This is my first Werner Herzog film and it just didn't float my boat (pun intended). The cinematography and Klaus Kinski were both great, but the story just didn't have as much to offer as the more exciting tales that coincided with the film's making. Don't get me wrong, there were some very good scenes in the film, but by the halfway point the film appeared to run out of steam, which kind of coincided with the expedition's movement into the river's slower spots. One thing that did stand out to me was that Brad Pitt must be a big fan of Kinski, because at times, when Kinski would make a gesture or expression, I instantly thought of Pitt in Troy. I guess I'll have to try out Fitzcarraldo next, but I hope there's a little more meat in that film.

Charmed Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Disc 5:

17. Scry Hard
Zankou (Oded Feher) is determined to find the Nexus and release the Shadow, the ultimate power. For their own protection, Piper and Leo are magically miniaturized and trapped inside a dollhouse.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. The first really serious attempt by Zankou.

18. Little Box Of Horrors
The mythological Pandora's Box falls into the hands of a shapeshifting demon who wants to open the box and release all the wickedness it contains. The Charmed Ones must find the Guardian who can return the released evil spirits to the box.

My Thoughts:
This is a good... but standard episode. Not surprising they got around to doing an episode about Pandora's Box. The show is pretty good about hitting all the big mythology items. (or whatever you would call it).

19. Freaky Phoebe
A power-hungry sorceress switches souls and tries to gain control of the Underworld while armed with Phoebe's identity and power. Phoebe, a prisoner in the sorceress's body, is accidentally vanquished by her sister.

My Thoughts:
This episode is alright... but I think it could have been better. Definitely not one of my favorites. In this episode Paige gets her first true charge as a whitelighter. Which of course they are able to work into the episode where they need his help.

20. Imaginary Fiends
Baby Wyatt's imaginary friend is actually a demon trying to gain his trust to turn him evil. Piper's spell inadvertently brings an evil 25-year old Wyatt back from the future who now wants to crush the good in baby Wyatt.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. I really enjoyed seeing the older Wyatt again. Wish they were able to fit in Chris as well. We get to see both a good and evil version of Wyatt in this episode. You can tell someone that don't watch the show wrote the plot to this episode... as the Evil Wyatt did not want to "crush" baby Wyatt... just the opposite... he had to be sure he was safe and away from his family so he would stay good. if he destroyed baby Wyatt.. he would have destroyed himself as well.
