My Thoughts: I never heard of this film till I found a copy cheap at the pawn shop. I decided to get it on the strong cast it has. And I must say... I am happy I did. I had a lot of laughs watching this one. And there is even a few tear jerker moments in it. The entire cast did a wonderful job. They really made you care about the characters. The film tackles the trials and tribulations of being parents in a fun way. If you have not seen this one... I definitely recommend it. Well worth the time put in to watch it. Rating: (From What Movies I Been Watching on September 30th, 2016) The Hustler, a review by AntaresThe Hustler Year: 1961 Film Studio: Twentieth Century Fox, Rossen Films Genre: Drama, Classic Length: 135 Min. One such year was 1962. In what could be considered a rather weak field of nominated films, you would think that a strong character driven film such as The Hustler would have swept the honors. Looking at its competition that year, Fanny, Jugdment at Nuremburg, The Guns of Navarone and West Side StoryWest Side StoryThe HustlerCarrie, another film which earned her a nomination from the Academy. Review Criterion 5 Stars - The pinnacle of film perfection and excellence. (From The Hustler (1961) on June 23rd, 2010) The X-Files Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdThe X-Files: Season 1 16. Young at Heart Original Air Date: February 11, 1994 John Barnett, who suppositively died years ago in prison, comes back to haunt the person who helped put him in jail - Mulder. Guest Stars: Dick Anthony Williams as Reggie Purdue Alan Boyce as Young John Barnett Christine Estabrook as Agent Henderson Graham Jarvis as NIH Doctor Jerry Hardin as Deep Throat My Thoughts: Another one that didn't really impress me a whole lot. More of an average episode that didn't keep my interest as much as I would have liked. My Rating: (From The X-Files Marathon on April 8th, 2010) |
