Also the story has some merrit, but in general it is just another one of those lesbian movies which just have to have a tragic/sad ending, like "Lost and Delirious", "Heavenly Creatures" and countless others. Sadly it is hard to find lesbian movies which are upbeat and have a happy ending.Rating: (From Lesbian Movie Marathon on March 5th, 2010) Tremors 2: Aftershocks, a review by addicted2dvdTremors 2: Aftershocks They're back! The giant underground creatures that terrorized a desert town in 'Tremors' are now plowing their way through Mexican oil fields, gobbling up everything and everyone around--and only one man can stop them! In the style of its predecessor, this comedy sci-fi creature feature reunites 'Fred Ward' as down-on-his-luck Earl Basset and 'Michael Gross' as gung-ho survivalist Burt Gummer, two desert desperadoes who take on the task of destroying the monsters. Partnered with them is 'Christopher Gartin', a young guy in need of kicks, cash, and a career change, and 'Helen Shaver', a sexy and intrepid scientist who's seen it all...until now. Together they devise an ingenious plan for tracking and killing the creatures. 'Tremors 2' is filled with high speed action and plenty of laughs - until the predators wise up. My Thoughts: In this part we had both "Graboids" (worm-like Creatures) and Shriekers (Heat Seeking little Creatures). This movie was just a fun sequel to the first one. And something that I can only seldomly ever says... I think this one was just as good as the first one. Was a lot of fun to watch. Unfortunately this one didn't have even nearly the amount of extras the first one had.. though it did have a couple things. If you liked the first one I am pretty certain you will like this one as well. Mainly because the current season is so bad, that it put me off the mood to continue with this marathon. It made me forget how much I enjoyed Glee. Especially during the first two seasons. This is the first episode in which Gwyneth Paltrow guest stars as the substitute teacher Holly. She did a good job here. Funny moments: Will seeing the Glee club kids as toddlers. Very funny. Would have liked to seen more of this. Or when we see flashback of Will wondering, which Journey song they haven't done yet. Stupid storylines: It is portrayed as a bad thing, that Sue bans unhealthy food (in this case "potato tots") replacing them with a more healthy alternative. And it is a very unlucky choice to have Mercedes to one protesting this. The only one in the club which would benefit from a more healthy diat. Notable music: I liked the first song that Gwyneth Paltrow sang: "Forget You" I also enjoyed Will's dream performing "Make 'em Laugh" from "Singing in the Rain". And giving Mike the opportunity to shine with his dancing. And also the Glee club's mash-up of "Singing in the Rain" and "Umbrella". Though that performance breaks the illusion, that the Glee club has no budget, in a big way. How can they afford setting the stage under water? And that even for just-for-fun performance.
