X-Files - I want to Believe, a review by Rich

X-File - I want to Believe

The supernatural thriller is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show's most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the always-complicated relationship between Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) in unexpected directions. Mulder continues his unshakable quest for the truth, and Scully, the passionate, ferociously intelligent physician, remains inextricably tied to Mulder's pursuits.

Another trip to the cinema to end my marathon, and what a disappointment!
Sometimes you regret wishing for certain series to carry on forever, and this is the case with the x-files. This 'film' is just a feature length episode, low in quality, interest or appeal. Anderson is really showing her age now, and Mulder looked particularly uninterested. The drama and buzz between the 2 characters has been done to death and just doesn't work anymore. Lets hope X-Files gracefully retires at this point, I would rate 90% of series 1-4 episodes against this drivel.
(And the price of F******G popcorn these days!!!!!)

The Stepford Wives (remake), a review by Dragonfire

My Thoughts

I enjoy this one overall, though I know it has issues.  It is very clear that the plot was originally intended to go in one direction and then changes were made, but some of the scenes tied to the original plot were left in the movie instead of being changed or removed.  That does make the plot a bit of a mess, but I still manage to enjoy the movie overall.  It is entertaining and I think the plot is interesting.  It isn't going to appeal to everyone and I know that many people think it is horrible.  The movie could have been funnier, but there is a decent amount of humor in it.

I did get a review posted on Epinions.

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Desperate Housewives

What's the show about?
The show is about the woman of Wisteria Lane and how they live, thrive and survive. In the first season it's also about the death of Mary Alice Young.

"Pilot"
On the day our story begins Mary Alice Young decides to put a bullet through her head. In that week a plumber moved in the street that isn't what he seems to be, Bree Van De Kamp's husband wants divorce and Gabrielle Solis cheats her husband with the gardener.

My Opinion
The first season is build around the mystery of why Marie Alice shot herself and what Mike's (the "plumber") true intentions are. It's a funny show but I still haven't got aroudn to watch the second season.
