My Thoughts:
I finally got to this one this evening. I been looking forward to it since I got it in my collection a few days ago. But I knew the others in the house wanted to see it as well so waited till we were all able to watch it together. First I must say this animated movie is off the new DC 52 comics so some things are different. Most notibly some of the costumes. Superman's costume I have already gotten used to from the Man of Steel film. But it took quite a bit to get used to the way they did Wonder Woman's costume. And I still prefer the classic costume over this one. And it was also a bit strange seeing her fighting with a sword through-out the whole film. They also made some changes to the look of Cyborg. I missed Flash being the over-confident smart-mouth of the bunch. But at least they still had this fun aspect to one of the heroes... they just switched it over to Green Lantern. The storyline itself was fantastic! I loved every moment of this film! It is just some of the changes to some of the characters that bugged me a little. But if you are a fan of these animated superhero films this one is a must see! And now I am looking forward to checking out the next film coming from the DC Universe... Son of Batman.

Plot:
Written in 1926, just before the advent of "talking" pictures, The Call of Cthulhu is one of the most famous and influential tales of H. P. Lovecraft, the father of gothic horror. Now the story is brought richly to life in the style of a classic 1920s silent movie, with a haunting original symphonic score. Using the "Mythoscope" process ~ a mix of modern and vintage techniques ~ the filmmakers have worked to create the most authentic and faithful screen adaptation of a Lovecraft story yet attempted.

My Thoughts:
I basically found this one to be more on the weird side. But to be fair I really should give it another chance as I did have to get up and miss some of it. Between that and having a bit of trouble keeping up with the subtitles... so needless to say I wasn't able to take it all in. But there I did get to see some pretty good scenes in with what I found to just be weird. Though I do think it is worth giving another chance and hopefully that would raise my rating a bit.

The Flash Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

The Flash Marathon

Image: The Flash and Nightshade Team up once again to stop the Nightshade imposter

Episode 16 - Deadly Nightshade
He upholds the law - even if he has to kill everyone to do it. A wannabe posing as Nightshade is nothing more than a vigilante in disguise, and The Flash and the real Nightshade are allied in an effort to stop him.

Guest Stars:
Richard Belzer as Joe Kline
Jason Bernard as Desmond Powell
Richard Burgi as Curtis Bohannan
Denise Crosby as Rebecca Frost
Mike Genovene as Lt. Warren Garfield
Will MacMillan as Keefe

My Thoughts:
Another excellent episode that I enjoyed every minute of. This one was just as good... if not better then the first episode with the Nightshade. He and The Flash work good together. Having Denise Crosby guest starring in the episode is another plus.
