Plot:
Ryan Pinkston (TV's Punk'd) and Kate Mara (Shooter) star in this hip and hilarious teen comedy about lying to be popular... and living to regret it! 17 year-old Sam (Pinkston) may be the new kid at school, but he's got a sure-fire scheme to fast-track his popularity: he's going to lie his a%$ off! Claiming to drive a Porsche, date a movie star and have a rock-star for a dad, Sam soon finds himself loved by everyone. But when Sam's outlandish fictions mysteriously turn into outrageous facts - he begins to discover that having all your dreams come true...can be a total nightmare!

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I never even heard of before a friend gave it to me. But the trailer looked like a lot of fun so was looking forward to seeing it. And even then it still took me 4 months to finally pop it into the player. Actually two players... the first player I tried didn't like this disc much... but it played perfectly in Brittany's player. Turned out the film isn't bad. Though there is nothing special about it either. Just an average film in my opinion. My Rating:

My Thoughts: I know nothing about the mythology of The Green Hornet so cannot compare this film to that. However I did get cheesed off with Seth Rogen's whiny rich brat Britt Reid but found Jay Chou's Kato fun and enjoyed Cameron Diaz as Lenore. Overall the action sequences were good but the comedy provided by Seth Rogen grated.
My Rating: A ho-hum film for a 2

GREY'S ANATOMY - SERIES ONE - PILOT - A HARD DAY'S NIGHT
Meet Meredith Grey. Daughter of famous surgeon Ellis Grey and currently recovering from a one-night stand. She shoos away her evening's companion, saying she'll be late for her first day of work. She is a first year intern at Seattle Grace Hospital and is working alongside some colorful characters. Cristina Yang is a highly competitive Stanford graduate who befriends Meredith. George O'Malley is a quirky warm hearted man who learns a lesson or two on his first day. Izzie Stevens is a former model who doesn't get any special treatment on her first day. And Alex Karev is an arrogant jerk who misdiagnoses a patient on his first shift. Overseeing them is Miranda Bailey, (not-so-) affectionately dubbed 'The Nazi'. Meredith also gets a surprise when she realizes that her friend from the night before is a co-worker, and even worse, her boss.
At the point of watching, this was winning my poll, and all I can say is thanks guys and gals!
An excellent way to start a series, characters constructed with belief and artistry, touches of humour, drama and suspense.
This show appears gripping right off the bat. Well written, well acted and crafted to hook the viewer.
The strength of any series for me are the characters, and this is jam packed full of quality roles. George is funny with no idea with the ladies. Meredith a strong main character, and her relationship with Shepard will be interesting to watch develop. Miranda (Hitler) looks like a character I will enjoy watching.
Overall a great start, and is now at the top of my 'must see more' pile.
Only concern is how skinny Ellen Pompeo looks - is she anorexic??
