The Invisible Woman, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Virginia Bruce John Barrymore John Howard Charles Ruggles Oskar Homolka Edward Brophy Plot:Extras: Scene Access My Thoughts: This one is much more comedy then the previous two. I still enjoyed it... but not quite as much as the other two. It is still definitely worth seeing... and having in your collection though. This one has Shemp Howard (Three Stooges) in it playing a gangster. He was alright in it... but most the comedy came from the butler. I am not familiar with the actress playing the Invisible Woman... Going by DVD Profiler I don't have anything else with her in it. I did enjoy her in this one though. My Rating Out of a Possible 5 Count: Movie Count: 66 TV Ep. Count: 32 Other Count: 8 I Made It! (10/15) (From Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon: 2010 on October 18th, 2010) Fever Pitch, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Fever Pitch Year: 2005 Director: Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly Rating: PG-13 Length: 103 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, French: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, Spanish: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, Commentary: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: English, Spanish Stars: Drew Barrymore Jimmy Fallon Jason Spevack Jack Kehler Scott Severance Jessamy Finet Plot: According to Red Sox super-fan Ben Wrightman (Jimmy Fallon), finding romance is about as unlikely as his beloved team winning it all. But when Ben scores a beautiful new girlfriend named Lindsey (Drew Barrymore), suddenly anything is possible. That is, until the baseball season begins, and Lindsey finds herself competing with an entire baseball team - the Boston Red Sox - for her boyfriend's heart and soul. Will Ben's obsession with the Sox put his passion for Lindsey on the bench, or will love win out? And can his team finally break the curse of the Bambino? Hilarious and wildly entertaining, 'Fever Pitch' scores a home run! Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Production Notes Outtakes/Bloopers Closed Captioned My Thoughts: After the last movie I watched... I felt like watching another comedy with Drew Barrymore. I think I enjoyed Duplex a little more then this one... but it was very close. So close in fact that I need to give it the same rating. Drew Barrymore was adorable as ever in it. I found the story to be very cute and entertaining. Once again there was very few laugh out loud moments... but it was filled with light-hearted fun. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unwatched DVDs on August 29th, 2010) My PILOT Marathon, a review by RichJERICHO - SEASON ONE - PILOT First Aired: Wednesday September 20, 2006 After a nuclear disaster caused by several terrorist attacks destroys most of America, residents of a small Kansas town must come to terms with a new and very different reality. Finally got my boxset back! Not as good as I had hoped and could have been better, but this series shows definite potential. The storyline basis of the aftermath of a nuclear attack in the USA had me intrigued and excited, as it was fairly original amidst all the 'missing person criminal alien conspiracy dramas' available. The build up failed to create any tension and was not in-depth enough for me. Too many characters rushed onto screen so it was hard to relate to any, and the weight and severity of a nuclear attack wasnt driven home. However, despite it's downfalls, the pilot did have some very interesting ideas which I shan't share as it may spoil it. The viewpoint of an isolated town witnessing the mushroom clouds from afar was very chilling. I must admit I immediately watched episode 2 after the pilot, it has that Lost/Surface/4400/24 type of addiction that just makes you HAVE to know what happens next (From My PILOT Marathon on May 13th, 2008) |
