The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, a review by Jimmy

MOVIE / DVD INFO:

Title: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)

Genre: Horror
Director: Tobe Hooper
Rating: NR
Length: 1h41
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1:78.1
Audio: English
Subtitles: English, French and Spanish

Stars:
Dennis Hopper
Caroline Williams
Jim Siedow
Bill Moseley
Bill Johnson

Plot:
My Thoughts:
God I hate that film, worst thing to appear in that franchise (I bet even the remake in 3D released this year is better than that). Bad acting even Dennis Hopper is crappy in that... but it was made at the time of his drinking problem so at least he had a reason to suck that much. Over acting after over acting. Tobe Hooper should be ashamed to have turn his great movie as a joke. Awfull waste of time, but considering it was produce by Golam-Globus this isn't really a surprise (common they are the guys who had destroyed Superman and Death Wish).

Avoid like the plague unless you are a completist like me.

5 Centimeters per Second, a review by Antares

5 Centimeters per Second (2007) 88/100 - This film sucker punched me...deeply. I wasn't expecting this kind of story and after it was finished, I was emotionally drained. So drained, that I've been trying to write my thoughts for the last half hour and I can't get anything down that's coherent enough to make sense. The first two segments are outstanding, with characters and story lines that I could relate to in my past. The only fault I can find in the film, has to lie with the final segment. It starts off just as the first two, but then veers off to a musical diversion that doesn't work and kind of spoils what was becoming a masterpiece in my eyes. I'd like to write more, but I can't. This film depressed the hell out of me, and it's cold, grey and rainy outside. Damn...I hate when a movie does this to me!

What the color coding means...

Teal = Masterpiece
Dark Green = Classic or someday will be
Lime Green = A good, entertaining film
Orange = Average
Red = Cinemuck
Brown = The color of crap, which this film is

My Thoughts:
Now in its eleventh season and South Park is still going strong.
The highlights for me in this season:
- Lice Capades: The story of lice Bruckheimer style when catastrophe strikes when an anti-lice shampoo is used against them
- Imaginationland: Great three-parter. A lot of fun appearances by other known cartoon characters
- Guitar Queer-O: A parody of the game Guitar Hero.
- The List: The girls made a list of what boy in their class is the cutest and who's the ugliest. The boys of course are trying to get their hand on it. How will they react, when they read it?
