Hitch, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Will Smith as Hitch Eva Mendes as Sara Kevin James as Albert Amber Valletta as Allegra Julie Ann Emery as Casey Adam Arkin as Max Plot: Meet Hitch (Will Smith), New York City's greatest matchmaker. Love is his job and he'll get you the girl of your dreams in just three easy dates, guaranteed! And that's exactly what happens when Albert Brennaman (Kevin James, TV's "The King of Queens") wins the heart of gorgeous society heiress Allegra Cole (supermodel Amber Valletta). So when tabloid columnist Sara Melas (Eva Mendes, Stuck On You, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) decides to uncover the secret behind the tubby schlub's success, she's shocked to discover that Alex Hitchens, the charming young man she's been seeing, is the legendary date doctor himself. Exposed in a front-page scoop, it's now up to Alex to try to save Albert and Allegra's relationship as well as his own. Which only goes to show that just when you think you've found true love, there's always a HITCH. Extras:
My Thoughts: As much as I enjoy both Will Smith and Kevin James I am surprised I never seen this one before now. This is a fun movie... had me laugh out loud more then once. Even if it is a little on the predictable side it is a good storyline with a good cast. Definitely worth the time put in to watch it. My Rating: (From What Movies I Been Watching on September 10th, 2014) The Gravedancers, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: The Gravedancers: After Dark Horrorfest Year: 2006 Director: Mike Mendez Rating: R Length: 96 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1, English: Dolby Digital Stereo, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: English, Spanish Stars:Plot: After a drunken night of dancing on graves, a group of friends are haunted by three havoc-minded ghosts bent on revenge. Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Gallery Closed Captioned My Thoughts: After the initial scene's action the story slowed down quite a bit till the scene in the graveyard where they dance on the graves. But once that scene was done the movie definitely picked up! I feel that this is a very good ghost story. I wouldn't say the best I ever seen... but definitely enjoyable... one that I feel comfortable recommending to any horror fan. There was even a couple things that I really didn't see coming... which is always a good thing! Going by this movie... and the trailers for the other movies in this series I am really looking forward to watching the rest of the titles in this series! My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007 (From What Movies I Been Watching on January 31st, 2010) Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd8. The Green, Green Glow of Home (11/14/93) Lois and Clark investigate a suspicious EPA story in Smallville. But it isn't man-made toxins the feds are after - but a chunk of Kryptonite, the substance that can rob Superman of his powers or even his life. My Thoughts: This is an excellent episode. It is the first time we get to see Kryptonite in the series... and the second (and final) appearance of Trask... the government agent that was obsessed with killing Superman. Not only is it a great action-packed story... it is also a fun one what with Lois out of her element and in Smallville with Clark. I got a kick out of when she told Clark to look at that man (unknowingly pointing to his father) and saying he is probably a cross dresser. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Marathon on July 16th, 2009) |
