A good start to the franchise. Sean Connery is a great Bond. The story moves along a little slow from today's point of view, but we see a lot of stuff which became signatures for the Bond movies. Ladies' man Bond, car chase, villain with a secret lair on an island. A villain whose look obviously was inspiration for other villains and parodies (Dr. Evil for example). A bond girl with a funny name (Honey). Bond imprisoned in an easily escapable room instead of being killed on the spot.
No real gadgets this time around, but Bond gets his signature gun.

Saw V
Detective Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, he must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I never seen before. I went into it a bit hesitantly as I heard that the movie series starts to go downhill from this point. Maybe that helped me to enjoy it more then some people do as I still loved every minute of this movie. Of course it could also be because (As I have said many times before) I am more forgiving of horror movies then most people are. The movie is filled with all sorts of torturous devices, blood and gore. It even had a familiar face in it this time. This one has Julie Benz (Angel, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer & Dexter). Though it did take me a few minutes to recognize her since I am not used to seeing her as a brunette. I will admit that I was a little more confused while watching this one (until the end reveal) then I have been with the past movies... but that could be because I was already tired when I decided to watch this movie.

What's the show about?
It's about Babylon 5. About the people that lived, loved, fought and died there. Babylon 5 is a human-built space station oribiting an (presumably) uninhabited planet in neutral territory. It's a port of call and a place to come together, to negotiate, to keep the peace in the galaxy. But in this it failed. Instead, it becomes the last, best hope for victory against an ancient and very powerful enemy.

"The Gathering"
A human space station called Babylon 5 was built in neutral terrritory between several star empires including the Minbari Federation, the Narn Empire, the Centauri Republic and the Earth Alliance. The construction finished ten years after the Earth-Minbar war where the Minbari nearly annihilated the humans but then surrenderd on the eve of victory. Now the station is complete to prevent such wars and every race sends an ambassador including the mysterious race called the Vorlons. But when the Vorlon ambassador Kosh arrives he is attacked and things get out of hands.

My Opinion
My marathon.
Babylon 5 is one of my top-favourite Sci-Fi TV shows. It has a great story arc and superb characters.
