I eat Your Skin, a review by Jimmy

Title : I eat Your Skin (1964)

Overview
A writter, looking to research voodoo legends for an upcoming book, arrives on a remote tropical island to investigate reports of zombies roaming the land. He soon discovers a scientist and his beautiful daughter living on the island, where the father is experimenting with a serum that has transformed some of the natives into strange looking creatures. When the remaining natives decide to sacrifice the scientist's daughter to appease their voodoo gods, our writer must stop them and the scientist from causing any further harm.

My Impression
It's time for a zombie movie with a lot of gore, great special effect and social commentaries... Not really. This is the other genre of zombie movie, the ones made before NOTLD involving the voodoo practices. This one is not new for me, in fact I already own it on another triple features compilation. Nothing really great in this : the acting is poor and the zombies are laughable (they look like they had fallen on their breakfast plate). But I like the voodoo ceremony (not credible, but fun to watch), some of the joke not too politically correct now and the transformation effects are not too bad since they do it like those in the Wolf man movies.

Not something that I recommand to buy, but in a compilation this is a funny film to watch.

Friday Night Lights, a review by Rich

Friday Night Lights

A genuine stand-up-and-cheer movie about a courageous high school football team's fight to fulfill their destiny and live their dream, Friday Night Lights is "unforgettable and real" (Larry King). Billy Bob Thornton stars in a true American story of how one legendary Texas town made hope come alive under the exhilarating glare of Friday Night Lights! "One of the greatest sports stories ever told" (Sports Illustrated) is now "one of the greatest sports movies ever made" (Larry King).

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 2

15. Reprise
Original Air Date: 2/20/2001
Angel learns of the impending visit of Wolfram & Hart's "senior partner," an evil and merciless demon from hell, and he plans a kamikaze mission to destroy the powerful beast that will sacrifice his own life in the process.

Guest Stars:
Elisabeth Rohm
Christian Kane
Stephanie Romanov
Sam Anderson
Brigid Brannagh
Julie Benz

My Thoughts:
This episode I enjoyed quite a bit. The entire episode is to advance the season long story arc. Gotta love shows like Angel... there is not many shows that can have a character killed off and he still be part of the show. And this one ends in a great cliffhanger.
