The Alamo, a review by addicted2dvd

The Alamo

My Thoughts:
This is the first time I ever seen this movie. Another one that takes a while to watch. It clocks in at 2hrs and 42min. Unfortunately this one didn't go by as smoothly for me. Over half of this movie felt extremely slow. I was starting to think I would never get through it. Finally the battle came. This definitely helped the movie for me. I don't want to make this sound like I completely disliked the movie. Because I didn't. I enjoyed some of the storyline. It was just hard for me to get through such a long slow movie.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie from the Horror Classics: 100 Movie Pack. Though I must admit not sure why this one is in there. It didn't feel much like a horror movie to me. Maybe a crime story... with a touch of mystery thrown in. But nothing that I personally think of as horror. But apparently someone does as it is in this set. The quality of this movie leaves much to be desired. The image is much below par... really soft picture with lots of dust and scratches and such. The audio is not much better with a slight static sound throughout the movie. The movie itself is ok... but nothing to get excited about. The acting leaves some to be desired... and the comic relief (the maid and the Chauffeur) are not that funny. The very best I could say about this one is no more then an average movie.

Pete's Pilots, a review by addicted2dvd

Dracula: The Series

Children of the Night
When Eileen Townsend gets transferred to Europe, she takes her sons (teen-age Chris and 10-year-old Max) to stay with her uncle, Gustav Helsing - descendant of the famous vampire hunter

My Thoughts:
This is a Saturday morning series geared towards kids that originally aired in (I believe) 1990 for just the one season. I never seen this show when it originally aired. But when I saw the DVDs for sale cheap I thought it would be a good show Britt and I could watch together. And Britt does enjoy this one. Though she does say it has one of the most annoying opening themes ever!  It is a cute show... I am glad I added it to my collection. One of the characters in this series is played by a very young Mia Kirshner.
