Vertigo, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Vertigo Year: 1958 Director: Alfred Hitchcock Rating: PG Length: 128 Min. Stars: James Stewart Kim Novak Barbara Bel Geddes Tom Helmore Henry Jones Plot: A San Francisco detective suffering from acrophobia investigates the strange activities of an old friend's wife, all the while becoming dangerously obsessed with her. My Thoughts: This one I watch off On-Demand. One of the On-Demand channels is having a Hitchcock month of sorts and has a folder with a few of his most popular movies. I went to watch this and what happens?... I fell asleep! No... I didn't find it that boring. I just was up late last night and then woke early this morning. I just needed an extra hour I guess. Plus the fact that I think I am getting sick over here. I think I may have messed myself up a little on this one. While I tried not to I was really hyped up to watch this one as I always heard it was a great one. So while I enjoyed it very much... I was kind of expecting more from it. So while it was very enjoyable... at the same time I was kind of thinking... ok... that's it? All THAT hype for this? I don't want you to get the wrong idea here... this is one I definitely want to add to my collection! Both James Stewert and Kim Novak were wonderful in this movie. The story kept my interest... and the suspense was definitely there. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From My Alphabet Marathon Reviews on July 10th, 2010) Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, a review by Tom
Stars: William Shatner as Kirk Leonard Nimoy as Spock DeForest Kelley as McCoy James Doohan as Scotty George Takei as Sulu Plot: To save Earth from a destructive space probe, Kirk and his fugitive crew go back in time to 20th century Earth to recover two humpback whales, who are the only Earth beings who can respond to it. Awards: Won:

My Thoughts: One of the best Star Trek movies further supporting that the Star Trek movies with even numbers are the better ones (that is, until Star Trek: Nemesis came along). Only the premise of having to get whales from the 20th century to the 23rd century I find ridiculous.Rating: (From Tom's Time-Travel Movie Reviews on January 5th, 2008) NCIS Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdNCIS: Season 4: Disc 6 21. BROTHERS IN ARMS Director Shepard finds that meeting an informant alone can be murder. The NCIS team must gather all leads to hunt down the killer. My Thoughts: While this one has some good scenes... it was never one of my favorites. And you know... I really don't have a good reason for that. There really wasn't nothing bad about the episode. But I just didn't care for it too much. My Rating: 22. IN THE DARK The NCIS team taps into a blind photographer's special insight to investigate a crime. My Thoughts: This is a pretty good episode. I like the idea of a blind photographer and the story is interesting. My Rating: 23. TROJAN HORSE While Shepard is abroad, Gibbs is acting director, but he ignores his duties when a murdered man is found in a cab headed to the NCIS headquarters. My Thoughts: This is a fun episode. I liked how Gibbs acts about being left in charge of NCIS. That man just needs to stay in the field... running the entire agency is not his thing! My Rating: 24. ANGEL OF DEATH The deepest, darkest secrets of each NCIS team member are about to be revealed after they learn they have to take a Homeland Security polygraph test. Meanwhile, a ruthless drug dealer holds Tony and his girlfriend, Jeanne, hostage. My Thoughts: This is an enjoyable season finale... but not quite as good as some of the past seasons. It does end on a little bit of a cliffhanger... so I will be looking forward to starting season 5 before too long. Which will be the last season I have to review at this time.
