My Thoughts: I been a bit curios about this title... heard a lot of good things about it over the years... so thought it was about time to check it out. According to IMDB this was released in the US in July of '69. So I was about 2 months old at the time. So needless to say this movie is not one that portrays a time that I am really familiar with. While I did find it to be an interesting piece... it seemed more slow to me then anything else. I mean not so bad that it made it hard to watch. But it seemed like I was waiting forever for something to start happening. About an hour into it I realized this is not that type of movie... and stopped waiting for anything big to happen. And then the final moments of the movie hit... and I was like... huh? Where did that come from? This isn't a film I could see myself watch often... but I could see myself watching it again. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From The Movies from Within My Lifetime: 2012 Edition on December 29th, 2011) Drawing Blood, a review by JimmyTitle : Drawing Blood (2005) Overview Bodies begin to pile up the moment George Adam's wife leaves town for the weekend. George's past comes back to him, but its nothing like his current life in a safe, calm suburban home. Unbeknownst to him, lovers, friends and neighbors cannot escape the grip of his evil basement. If the local law enforcement can piece the grisly clues together, they may be able to save the next innocent victim. Drawing Blood is a psychological horror film that captures the raw terror of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the pure horror of Halloween. My Impression "Raw terror of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and pure horror of Halloween" my ass Really poor movie with no character development at all. Sure many people are killed (very poorly to be polite), but we don't really care since we know nothing about them except for what we see before they got in the house. Terror sure , a person enter in the house for whatever reasons, George isn't there and they are smash on the head with an axe, a hammer, a bottle and a couple of ridiculous things I won't say. The acting is really poor with the exception of Robert Z'Dar and Joe Estevez (he really looks more and more like his father) who aren't there a lot in the movie. Some nudity is present that help a little (even if the girls aren't that good looking) but not that much. By the way one of those scene demonstrate the lack of talent of the crew involve in the filming : 2 actors are supposed to have an intercourse but we are able to see clearly that they wear their underwear all the time Pete if you watch this one could you tell me who is the killer... I sure have no idea of who is it supposed to be Rating : (From Jimmy's 2009 Horror Marathon on October 1st, 2009) Tom's TV Pilots marathon, a review by Tom
Plot:Bewitched 1.01 I, Darrin, Take This Witch, Samantha Writer: Sol Saks (Writer) Director: William Asher Cast: Elizabeth Montgomery (Samantha), Dick York (Darrin Stephens), Agnes Moorehead (Endora), Gene Blakely (Dave), Lindsay Workman (Doctor), Paul Barselow (Bartender), Nancy Kovack (Sheila) I only have the first three episodes of this series. They were part of a special bundled release of the Will Ferrell "Bewitched" movie. I always more of a fan of Jeannie than Bewitched. So I never really followed this series. I think it is unreasonable that Darrin asks his wife to never do magic even if they are alone. This release is a colorized version. I first didn't notice this, until I wondered if the green eyes are Elizabeth Montgomery's natural eye color. Then I saw that the first two seasons were originally black and white. So it could very well have been a side-effect of the colorization process. Otherwise everything looked good considering. Rating: (From Tom's TV Pilots marathon on March 27th, 2011) |
