Curse of the Wolf, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Curse of the Wolf Year: 2006 Director: Len Kabasinski Rating: NR Length: 105 Min. Video: Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: N/A Stars: Lanny Poffo Darian Caine Brian Heffron Pamela Sutch Renee Porada Plot: A young woman, Dakota (Renee Porada) has finally found a way to "control" her Lycanthrope metamorphosis and desires to live a "normal life". All might be well if not for Dakota's "pack", who wants a different life for Dakota... to live in werewolf immortality and hunt with them forever! Extras: Scene Access My Thoughts: I felt like watching another movie from the Mortuary of Madness boxset I bought this past October. I have been kinda looking forward to this one just going by the cover art for the movie. But of course, at the same time, I went into this movie with no expectations what so ever. There was things I liked about this one... as well as things I disliked. First of all... too much music! The production value was a bit low... the main problem I had with this was the fact that the night scenes where too dark to see what was going on for the most part. And of course the acting could have been better for most parts. But I did enjoy the storyline. And I also liked the mixture of martial arts in this movie. While it could have been much better... it was enjoyable. I am glad I watched it. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: 12/11-12/13 on December 13th, 2009) Licence to Kill, a review by TomTitle: Licence to Kill Year: 1989 Director: John Glen Rating: FSK-16 Length: 127 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.45 Audio: German: Dolby Digital Surround, Spanish: Dolby Digital Surround, English: Dolby Digital 5.1, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: English, German, Spanish Stars: Timothy Dalton Carey Lowell Robert Davi Talisa Soto Anthony Zerbe Extras: Commentary Featurettes Music Videos Photo Gallery Production Notes Scene Access Trailers My Thoughts: In my opinion, this movie takes itself too serious for a James Bond movie. Almost no light-hearted moment in it (except when Q is on-screen). It is a non-stop action movie without much witty banter.Plus side: We have two hot Bond girls in it. Rating: (From James Bond Marathon on May 16th, 2009) Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdAngel: Season 3 20. A New World Original Air Date: 5/6/2002 As Angel tries to track down Connor in the streets of L.A., Lilah approaches a despondent Wesley with an offer from Wolfram and Hart. Guest Stars: Vincent Kartheiser Stephanie Romanov Mark Lutz Erika Thormahlen My Thoughts: While still a good episode... I didn't find this one quite as good as the previous several. While interesting... and I enjoyed the search for Connor and such. I didn't care much for the side storyline. Where Connor meets up with a junkie. And while I understand why it had to be drawn out some... I will be glad to see Wesley back in with the group. But that may take a while yet. My Rating: (From Angel Marathon on March 15th, 2010) |
