Peter Pan, a review by Danae Cassandra

Peter Pan
Year of Release: 1953
Directed By: Hamilton Luske, Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson
Starring: Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, Hans Conried, Bill Thompson
Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Musical, Animation

Overview:
Think of the happiest things as Peter PanMy Thoughts:
This is still a fun little film, even if Peter's egocentrism doesn't come off as cool now like it does when you're a kid, and "What Makes the Red Man Red?" makes one cringe. The animation is top notch, and I've always liked the Crocodile. He's still my favorite, especially in his sly expressions and how happy he looks at the chance to eat Hook.

Still don't know why this is on blu-ray and we'll likely never see even a DVD release of Song of the South.

Bechdel Test: Fail
Mako Mori Test: Pass

Overall: 3/5

The Incredible Hulk: Pilot Movie, a review by addicted2dvd

The Incredible Hulk: Pilot Movie
In this thrilling two- hour movie, Dr. David Banner inadvertently exposes himself to a high amount of gamma radiation and is horrified to discover that in moments of frustration and anger he is transformed into the incredibly powerful Hulk.

My Thoughts:
Another TV Movie to get me in the mood for the new movie I have on order (which should be here by middle of week). I don't know why I did not watch this one before the 2 reunion movies I watched yesterday... but I have now corrected that mistake. I always liked this telling of the origin. I don't believe it matches what is in the comics... but this series is how I was first introduced to the character. I thought it is a very good start to the series. I enjoyed every minute of it.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Well... that is 9 movies for this weekend. Better then what I have been doing on my weekend movie marathons here lately. So I think it is time to put this marathon to an end and go back to watching some TV series for a while. It has been a fun marathon. And I can't wait to get the new Incredible Hulk movie... the hard part will be seeing if I can save it for the weekend!  :P

Birthday Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Tru Calling: Season 2
In the Dark
When the lights go out during a surprise birthday party in the morgue, Tru hears someone asking for help-but due to the darkness, she has no idea who needs to be saved.

My Thoughts:
This is one of my all-time favorite short lived TV Series. I really enjoyed this episode a lot. The fact that she didn't know who it was that called her name really added something to the episode.  Gave it a bit extra mystery.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5
