The Amityville Horror II: The Possession, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: The Amityville Horror II: The Possession
Movie Count: 76
TV Ep Count: 26
Time Started: 11am
Plot:
Before the residence at 112 Ocean Avenue became infamous in 'The Amityville Horror', its supernatural legacy of terror had already begun. Inspired by a true story, this chilling prequel is a bloodcurdling, special effects-laden encounter with all-powerful, all-consuming evil.

Although the Montellis are not exactly the "perfect family," at least they've found the perfect home. And even though a liquid that looks like blood gushes from the kitchen faucet and every window has been nailed shut, it still qualifies as their dream house - until all hell breaks loose! A local priest tries to rid the house of unclean spirits, but what he doesn't yet suspect is that teenage son Sonny Montelli has been possessed, body and soul, by a murderous demon bent on total destruction.

My Thoughts:
This one is a pretty good prequel. Not the best I have ever seen... but definitely worth the time put into it. Sure there was a scene or two that I didn't care for in this one... but overall was a good, strong prequel. I particularly didn't like the incest scene between the brother and sister. Maybe I am a bit of a prude when it comes to something like incest/abuse... but I think the movie could have been just as strong without the incest scene and early flirtations between the brother and sister. The only extras on this dvd is the Theatrical Trailer.

Resident Evil: Extinction, a review by addicted2dvd

Resident Evil: Extinction
Milla Jovovich is back in the third chapter of the hugely successful Resident Evil franchise! This action-packed horror film is set in the Nevada desert and filled with intense special effects and more zombie terror!

Las Vegas means fun in the sun. Well... atleast the sun is still there. Execpt for a few rusting landmarks, it looks pretty much like the rest of the desert - or the whole country, for that matter. The crowds are now flesh-eating zombies: the mass undead, the oozing, terrifying sludge of what remains. Here, the newly upgraded Alice, along with her crew (Oded Fehr, Mike Epps, Ali Larter, Ashanti) will make a final stand against evil - with one goal: to turn the undead... dead again.

My Thoughts:
Now I finally got to see the latest of the Resident Evil movies. This is the first time I seen it since I normally don't do movie theaters. I would say that I did enjoy it... for what it was. Action-horror... but it is my least favorite of the trilogy. I think the story-line is getting a little to complicated... not that you don't understand where it is and where it is going. More that it just don't make sense... at least to me... where they are going with it. Lets just say... if I had control over it I wouldn't be going where they are with the storyline. Matter of fact I probably wouldn't have even left it open to go any further at the end of this one. But with that said... there is some fun to be had here... plenty of zombies and great action.

The season one finale. I enjoyed it and it was a great conclusion for this season.
I liked that they lost the competition and only get another chance for a second year because Sue had a change of heart and shows compassion for the Glee club.

Brittana:
Linking pinkies during Will's performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"

Notable music:
Vocal Adreneline's performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" was good, but cannot beat Queen's original. They just don't have any heart to it (which may be the point).

I enjoyed the Journey medley they perform at the competition. Especially their redux of "Don't Stop Believing" which they first sang in the first episode:

Another good song was the last one in this episode when Will is singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to the kids.
