Plot:
Sorrowful Jones (Bob Hope) takes a bet from a rotten gambler who leaves his young daughter as collateral, forcing him to learn some hard lessons about parenthood with the help of a nightclub singer (Lucille Ball).

This one I enjoyed quite a bit. Not surprising with such stars as Bob Hope and Lucille Ball. But it was the little girl that I felt stole the show. A cute little girl and I loved her attitude. This is actually the first film I have seen Lucille Ball in. I just know her from "I Love Lucy"... and while I figured it was the case I was happy to verify with this film that Lucille Ball really could sing. This film may not have a lot of laugh out loud moments... but if you are looking for a fun film to relax and watch I would definitely recommend "Sorrowful Jones."

X-Men 2, a review by Dragonfire

My Thoughts

This is a wonderfully entertaining movie and one of the few sequels that is stronger than the original.  I love that Nightcrawler is introduced even though I was still irritated that Gambit was left out again.  There is a small reference to Gambit in one scene that is easily missed.  There are all sorts of interesting things tied to Logan/Wolverine's past shared that I really enjoyed.  I also liked how the movie was setting up things to cover the Phoenix story from the comic books.  The plot works very well and is entertaining.  The main plot is resolved while some things are also left for the next movie.  The cast all fit their characters well.  There is a good amount of action and a few humorous moments throughout the movie.

 

I did get a review posted on Epinions back after seeing the movie in the theater.

This episode was supposed to be the season finale. At first only 13 episode were produced for the season. But because of the success of the series, another 8 episodes were ordered to make it a full season.
And it is very noticable that this is written like a season finale. They have their first competition here.

Brittana:
This is the episode, in which a throwaway line started to plant the idea of a Brittana relationship:
During a telephone conference call with half of the Glee club:
Santana: Sex isn't dating.
Brittany (oblivious to what she is revealing): If it were, Santana and I would be dating.

Finncompetent:
Finn, having have found out, that he is not the real father of Quinn's baby, leaves the Glee club just before there first competition. And everybody is thinking, that without him, they have no chance. Really?! Hard to believe. In my opinion he is dragging down their performance. As later seen, when he comes back just in time for their performance. For me it doesn't look like he is contributing something essential (except if we did not get to their whole performance).

Favorite moments:
Santana admitting that Glee is her favorite part of the school day and she wouldn't have told Sue their setlist so that she could sabotage their performance. I like it, because it seems true. Even though she is more of a background character up to this point, it always looked like she is really enjoying it, when they sing and dance.

Notable music:
I like Rachel singing "Don't Rain on My Parade":


I also really like their choreography to "My Life Would Suck Without You". It solely consits of callbacks to other song choregraphies they have done up to this point. It's the last song of the episode and with that one it is really obvious, that it was supposed to be the season finale:
