Plot:
Monstrous canine evil stalks a helpless, isolated family in rural Maine. My Thoughts:
While I have seen this movie several times... this is the first time for me watching it since getting the 25th Anniversary Edition DVD. And also the first time I got to see it in it's OAR. And the transfer for this release looks and sounds great! Not only is it in it's OAR... but the picture quality is some much better then the original release. I have always enjoyed watching this movie. I never read the book... so I can't comment on how true to the book this movie is... though I have read that it is a pretty good adaptation. This DVD release has 2 movie related special features. First is the director's commentary... and the second is a 3 part documentary of the making of the movie. I didn't get the chance to check out the features... though I hope to before too long. Definitely a movie you should check out. Even worth the upgrade if you already have the original release.My Rating:

Plot:
The blood orchid - A rare flower that holds the secret of eternal life and a fortune to the pharmaceutical company that finds it. Led by a two-fisted soldier of fortune, a scientific expedition is sent deep into the jungles of Borneo to locate and bring back samples of the legendary plant. Battling their way upriver, the explorers brave poisonous insects, ferocious crocodiles and savage headhunters, unaware they're being stalked by an even greater danger: a nest of giant anacondas, voracious, fifty-foot-long flesh-eaters who'll stop at nothing to protect their breeding ground, the blood orchid's home.

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed Anaconda when I saw it... so was looking forward to this one when I found out a friend was giving me a copy. The first thing I notice is this movie stars Kadee Strickland. I am familiar with her as she is in the main cast of the medical drama Private Practice playing Dr. Charlotte King. I have to say I enjoyed this one over-all. It isn't what I would call a great movie.... but I definitely had fun watching it. I did like the first Anaconda movie better... but this one is also worthy of a place in your collection as well.My Rating:

The showdown of this season. Not as good as I remember it, but worth nonetheless.

The conclusion is better than the previous episode. I liked that it is Xander, the one without any superpowers, who saves the day.
I am not sure of it was on purpose by Joss Whedon, but I had the feeling that he was giving his opinion on this season through Giles. The first season which wasn't headed by him. When Buffy confesses all the bad things which she did this season concluding with her sleeping with Spike, Giles gets a laughing fit because of the absurdity of it and then tells her, that he (Giles/Joss) should have been here.
