My Thoughts:
This is one I first saw on On-Demand. I enjoyed it so much at the time that I knew it wouldn't be long for me to get the DVD. The Brave One is one of the best revenge/vigilante movies I have seen in quite a while. Jodie Foster does a wonderful job in this movie. While it is very enjoyable... it is not perfect. There is some slow parts throughout the movie. And I have caught myself more then once looking at the clock. But I think these moments are important to the story as well. Other then Jodie Foster... this movie has Mary Steenburgen who I watched all the time on Joan of Arcadia... where she played Joan's mother. The Brave One is definitely worth giving a chance. Though I do wish they would have given this one a better DVD Release. There really is very little when it comes to extras for this one.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Finding Nemo, a review by Rogmeister

Finding Nemo  2-Disc Collector's Edition

Marlin (a clown fish) is a widower who only has his son Nemo left of his family after a predator attack. Years later, on Nemo's first day of school, he's captured by a scuba diver and taken to live in a dentist office's fish tank. Marlin and his new friend Dory set off across the ocean to find Nemo, while Nemo and his tankmates scheme on how to get out of the tank before he becomes the dentist's niece's new pet.

This is one of those movies that you hear so much about that you find yourself surprised at how long it's taken you to get around to watching it. This movie got glowing reviews when it came out and I always meant to watch it but never did...until now.

The first thing I noticed about the movie was the stunning visuals. This movie looks absolutely gorgeous with unbelievably vibrant colors. The story moves along quickly (as most animated films are wont to do as they're usually 90 minutes or shorter as this one is). Sometimes you rack your brain for most of these animated movies trying to figure out who did the voices but I luckily didn't have to do that. I already knew that Ellen Degeneres did the voice of Dory (and she has the funniest dialogue in the movie) and I recognized right away the voice of Albert Brooks who provided Marlin's voice.

Nemo meets a lot of different kinds of sea creatures in this movie...I had to laugh at the very thought of a shark intervention. The shark's name is Bruce which I found funny since most people remember that that's what the tech people called the shark when they were making the movie Jaws. I found the jellyfish sequence rather exciting and it reached quite an exciting conclusion. I absolutely loved this movie and I'll probably find myself watching it again before too long. Maybe I'll watch it with the commentary sometime. They have a special visual commentary where, if you use that option, they'll actually interrupt the movie to take you on the scenes to see how some sequences came to be.

As with many Disney special editions, this is a 2-disc set. One disc has the widescreen version and the other has the full-frame version and they divide the extras between the two discs. It's a movie I would heartily recommend.

Charmed Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Disc 3:

8. Sam, I Am
Cole attacks The Charmed Ones as he realizes that he must eventually give in to his evil destiny in the hopes that the sisters will vanquish him and end his suffering.

My Thoughts:
This is a decent... but standard episode. Though this does does have a couple new things. First after coming to the realization that Phoebe won't have anything to do with him either way... he stops trying to be good. At least as hard as he has in the past. And of course Paige meets her birth father.. her mother's whitelighter.

9. Y Tu Mummy Tambien
A lovelorn demon mummifies Phoebe in his quest to find the perfect body to hold the spirit of his dead lover.

My thoughts:
Another good but standard episode. Nothing to special here... unless you count how good Phoebe looked in that Egyptian outfit.

10. The Importance Of Being Phoebe
After kidnapping Phoebe, Cole's scheming spells create mayhem for the remaining Charmed Ones as he tries to gain access to the powerful spiritual Nexus in the manor.

My Thoughts:
This episode was good. I actually had forgotten about the Nexus until they brought it up in this episode. It has been a while since we seen it mentioned at all. So it was good seeing them go back to it for an episode.

11. Centennial Charmed
Cole's twisted attempts to win Phoebe back destroys the Power of Three. The Charmed Ones must overcome the destruction he has caused and pull together to vanquish the desperate Cole.

My Thoughts:
Charmed's 100th episode! And what a great episode! Thank goodness... Cole is gone! Finally permanently vanquished! Well I do believe his spirit returns for one more episode... in I think it was season 7. But that is OK... as the Cole storyline has finally come to an end. I think they handled the 100th episode with fun... but in a serious way. And they did a great job mixing it together.
