Hold on tight for a rush of pulse-pounding thrills, breathtaking stunts and unexpected romance in a film you'll want to see again and again. KEANU REEVES stars as Jack Traven, an L.A.P.D. A high-octane chase of suspense, nonstop action and surprise twists, SPEED is a joyride sure to keep everyone on the edge of their seats.

My Thoughts:
This was either the first or second thing I ever seen Sandra Bullock in... and I have been a fan of her's every since. This is a movie I haven't seen in many years. So long in fact that I went into this movie today not really remembering much of anything other then the main basic plot of the movie. I got to say after watching it that I really enjoyed every minute of it. It is a good non-stop action movie. Sure... there is a lot of scenes in this movie that is unbelievable... but if you can suspend believability this is a great action packed bus trip. When it comes to DVD extras on this release I was a bit disappointed. Sure... there is a couple audio commentaries. But that is all you get. Not even the theatrical trailer... which many of you know is a pet peeve of mine.

I quite enjoyed this movie. Finally a "hacker" movie, which stays relatively realistic in its dispiction of computer programming and hacking.
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie, when I first saw it. At the time I thought it would probably be rather unrealistic like "The Net" with Sandra Bullock. I had bought it mainly because it has Rachael Leigh Cook in it
This movie is essentially a battle between the good (open source programmers) and evil (big Microsoft like cooparations). Tim Robbins as the CEO of the cooperation is unmistakenly based on Bill Gates.

Big Deal - Series One

Episode 1 - Red Lady, Black Night

Complete first series of the 1980s BBC comedy. Robbie Box (Ray Brooks) is a family man and an all-round nice guy, apart from one little problem - his gambling habit. Addicted to the bookies and to gambling dens, Robbie starts to make a concerted effort to give up. Also starring Sharon Duce and Ray Brooks.



Excuse me whilst I get some nostalgic 80's Britishness out of my system.....Tartan bitter, pound notes, bottled milk on every doorstep, choppers, harrington jacket, individual high-streets, mullets, sideburns and pints of skol - good times.
Back to the days when a middle aged, non-working gambling addict could be a hero, this series was a must see and it was good to revisit this programme. Ray Brooks was perfect for the role as the means good but always missing the big one lead, and his gorgeous girlfriend (I used to love older women) Sharon Duce who puts up with his antics.
Totally incorrect politically and ethically in todays age (unfortunately) it is entertaining stuff for 80's Brits, but I doubt it would hold much interest beyond this.
