My Thoughts:
This is a movie I have seen before... but not since getting the DVD recently. It is the first time I seen it since it originally came out. I did buy a DVD used from a local video store before it went out of business... but unfortunately the copy that I bought was messed up pretty bad and you could barely watch the disc. But thankfully a friend had an extra copy they could send me to replace it with.

Before watching Showtime I looked up some reviews to see what other people were saying about this one. It quickly became apparent that it isn't much liked. Which I just don't understand. As I really did enjoy every minute of it. Sure it isn't an award winning... thought provoking epic. But in my opinion it does what it sets out to do... and does it well. It entertains. Sometimes just a fun... leave your brain at the door... popcorn flick is all you need. And Showtime is just that. This is of course one of those buddy cop movies with lots of action and a good amount of laughs. I thought DeNiro and Murphy made a great team. I have always liked both actors. Murphy is funny as always... and DeNiro is as enjoyable as always. Being able to do comedy as well as he can the serious work. I think if you are looking for just a fun way to escape real life for 90 minutes this is a good way to do so.

Notorious, a review by Dragonfire

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed this movie.  I think the plot works well and is interesting overall even though the Nazi element to it is a bit dated.  There are some suggestive things going on without anything explicit being shown.  The pace is slower, but that works to help set up everything that is going on.  Bergman and Grant are wonderful in their parts and they have a decent amount of chemistry.  Alex works as the villain even though not a lot about him is shared.  The way his mother dominates him did make me think of Norman's relationship with his mother in Psycho..or at least what it was like earlier.  There is a decent amount of suspense and mystery in the movie even though the mystery could have been slightly stronger.

Overall I really liked this movie and thing it is another very well done Hitchcock movie.

I did get a review posted on Epinions today...or yesterday.  Whatever.

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 4

11. Soulless
Original Air Date: 2/5/2003
With Angel's soul locked away in a safe, the gang begin interrogation. Angelus has the gang arguing after he reveals the truth behind their recent actions.

Guest Stars:
Vladimir Kulich

My Thoughts:
Another excellent episode. I always liked the Evil Angel episodes. Both here on Angel as well as on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I am starting to remember more and more about this storyline... but even with that I am still enjoying every minute of it. Now that they got Angel's soul out... and have it locked away in the safe... what happens? They of course go back to the safe to find his soul missing.
