My Thoughts:
Going into this one I couldn't remember if I ever seen it before or not. The trailer looked vaguely familiar but I didn't know if I was remembering the movie or just seeing the trailer before. After watching it I realize this is my first time seeing it. While it is not a bad movie... I found it... well I don't want to say slow. It just didn't keep my attention as much as I would have hoped. But it is a decent enough movie. And considering I got it in a 2 movie set along with Hook for only $6 I really can't complain at all... it is definitely worth the time and money I put into it.

My Rating:

Hellboy, a review by Rich

Title: Hellboy

Movie Count:3
TV Ep. Count:2

Runtime:122
Certificate:PG-13
Year:2004

Plot:As dark forces gather to hasten the Apocalypse, Hellboy fights fire with fire in this mind-blasting supernatural action-adventure from the visionary director of Blade 2. Based on the celebrated Dark Horse comic book.

My Review:
Daft but enjoyable, a fairly reasonable adaptation.
A nice blend of action, romance and comedy for this genre, with a cool lead by Ron Perlman and a particularly memorable dark villain in Kroenen.
Action is fairly much non-stop and well portrayed, albeit slightly too many fight scenes IMO.
The biggest downside for me, besides HB's weird love of stray cats, was his apparent infallibility, you never really felt he was in any serious mortal jeopardy against any of the baddies.
Don't take this movie too seriously, and it can then be enjoyed.

Tom's TV Finales marathon, a review by Tom

[tom]025192083396f.jpg[/tom]      The Cape: The Complete Series (2011/United States)
IMDb | Wikipedia

Universal Studios Home Entertainment (United States)
Length:430 min.
Video:Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78
Audio:English: Dolby Digital 5.1
Subtitles:English

Plot:
He's righteous. He's heroic. He's The Cape.

Vince Faraday (David Lyons, E.R.) is an honest cop on a corrupt police force. When he's framed for murder and presumed dead, he finds that he must go into hiding - leaving behind his wife, Dana (Jennifer Ferrin, Life on Mars), and son, Trip (Ryan Wynott, Flash Forward). Determined to battle the criminals who now control his hometown, Vince takes the law into his own hands and becomes The Cape-his son's favorite comic book superhero. Featuring an incredible supporting cast, including James Frain (The Tudors), Keith David (Death at a Funeral), Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), Dorian Missick (The Manchurian Candidate), Martin Klebba (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Vinnie Jones (Snatch), it's the action-packed series that has critics raving, "'The Cape' is cloaked in awesome." (OK! Magazine)

The Cape
Season 1.10 Endgame
Writer: Tom Wheeler (Created By), Christine Roum (Writer)
Director: Ernest Dickerson
Cast: David Lyons (Vince Faraday/The Cape), Keith David (Max Malini), Summer Glau (Orwell), James Frain (Peter Fleming/Chess), Jennifer Ferrin (Dana Thompson-Faraday), Ryan Wynott (Trip Faraday), Dorian Missick (Marty Voyt), Martin Klebba (Rollo), Vinnie Jones (Dominic Raoul/Scales), Mather Zickel (Travis Hall), Elise Neal, Brian Howe, John Gleeson Connolly, Yara Shahidi, Myles Lamonte, Demetrius Grosse, Wendy Burch (News Anchor), Raymond Ma (Tian Zhao), Samantha Sloyan (Blonde Reporter), Tom McCafferty (ARK Officer), Ritu Lal (Reporter #1), Voltaire Sterling (Reporter #2), Brian Ibsen (Reporter #3), Alan Deane (Shopkeeper)

A boring series and a rather boring last episode. No wonder, that it was cancelled so soon. Also this episode (even if the name suggests it) doesn't really resolve the series.
