The Good Girl
Jennifer Aniston turns in "a fantastic performance" ('US Weekly') in this quirky comedy about first encounters and second chances. Thirty-year-old Justine Last (Aniston) longs for a life more fulfilling than the one she leads with her boring husband (John C. Reilly) and dead-end job at the Retail Rodeo. But when a passionate young co-worker (Jake Gyllenhaal) catches her eye and steals her heart, Justine's good-girl existence takes a turn for the worse -- with unexpected and comical results.

My Thoughts:
This one I didn't care much for. It was in my opinion OK at best. I found the storyline not only depressing... but also stupid. I can say this much though... I got this movie shortly after it's release used for $5.00 when the video store I managed went out of business (Along with Chasing Amy) I bought it sight unseen for one reason... because I am a fan of Jennifer Aniston.  And I have to agree with the overview... Jennifer Aniston did do a fantastic job in her role. I thought she had a very strong performance... I just wish she had a better storyline to work with. The overview ends with this line... "...with unexpected and comical results" I don't know... this is of course only my opinion... but I didn't find a single thing in this movie I would call comical.

Goldfinger, a review by Dragonfire

I did enjoy this one.  I had seen some of it on television before, but I don't think I had seen all of it until I watched it on this DVD.  Goldfinger made a good villain and his plot wasn't as ... bizarre as what was cooked up in some of the other Bond movies.  I wasn't overly impressed with Pussy Galore though.  She didn't seem to be anything special to me.  All that really stood out was her name.  And the scene when James ...had his way with her didn't sit well with me.  It was more forced and I just didn't care for it.  I did like Oddjob and his hat.  That was a bit strange that a guy would kill with a hat, but it worked. 

Overall, I think this is one of the best of the Bond movies.

This is the start of the low point of this season for me. I like that Amy is back, but I do not like the way she is used here. Also they start here with beating the magic use=drug use metaphor to death. And the "magic spree" that Willow and Amy go on is too much like Sabrina the Teenage Witch. And I don't like Buffy and Spike humping while bringing a building down.

This is where they have gone to far with the whole magic thing. They didn't even try to hide the drug comparison anymore. They even introduced a magic drug dealer. Also Willow's break-down at the end and her withdrawal symptons are that of a drug addict.

The premise is interesting, but I didn't like how childish invisible Buffy was behaving. Nice that the gang finally meets up with the geek trio.
