Very intriguing and fascinating movie even though at times I was confused as to what was going on.  It was like playing connect the dots... only the dots keep moving.

The message was clear... big business, more directly OIL business, dictates much of what happens in the world. Corruption, terrorism, political unrest, the removing of obstacles with extreme prejudice... all in a days work for the powers that be who jockey for control of the world's most valuable natural resource. Also, this movie does little to endear the viewer to the Arab oil barons whose obscene wealth is prominently on display.
Clooney was good, Damon was good, Jeffrey Wright was great! Also I've never seen Tim Blake Nelson in a suit before and it was quite a shock to the system. 

Great movie if not a bit confusing. Likely no more confusing than the real life double dealings employed by the oil companies.

Metro
Mega-star Eddie Murphy (The Nutty Professor, Beverly Hills Cop series) teams with Michael Rapaport (Beautiful Girls) and Michael Wincott (The Crow) in this wildly entertaining, action-packed hit! Murphy plays Scott Roper, a fast-talking, wisecracking, on-the-edge hostage negotiator whose offbeat-but-winning style has made him San Francisco's top mediator! Roper will say...and do...absolutely anything to get his man. But when it comes to face to face with a psychotic killer who's playing a lethal game of cat and mouse, he's finally met his match! Don't miss the excitement as the always amusing Murphy packs Metro with outrageous action that has critics and audiences cheering!

My Thoughts:
This is another movie I have had in my collection for a very long time... but it seems I have only watched the one time. I wouldn't say this is the best Action-Comedy I ever seen... but it is definitely enjoyable. I liked most the characters... there was lots of fun scenes... but I think there could have been a bit more comedy in the mixture for this one.

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

What's the show about?
The Doctor is an alien, the last of the Time Lords and he travels with his TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) to any point in time and to any planet he wants. The Doctor often travels with a Companion, most of the time a human woman. Wherever he goes, there's a mystery to be solved and sometimes the entire universe is at stake, in this dimension or another.

"Rose"
When Rose tries to close the shop she's working in she's attacked by the window dummies. At first she thinks it's a student prank until she gets rescued by a man who calls himself only The Doctor and the entire building explodes. This entire evening was so weird that she tells nobody what really happened until she gets attacked by a dummy arm again and is again rescued by him. A Nestene Consciousness tries to take over the world and only The Doctor can prevent it.

My Opinion
If one likes weird science-fiction stories (such as I) with way-out ideas thrown in for good measure then one should definitively give it a try. I've seen a few episodes of the old Doctor Who but not enough to make a valid comparison. But I really like the new series on its own, especially since they are not afraid to re-use old enemies without re-designing them. The Daleks look like from a 50s movie but that makes it so charming. Too bad that UK seasons are always so short.
