My Thoughts:
This is one was in a box of DVDs that a friend had given me. It is one of those bad Sci-Fi Channel movies that they are always airing. So I went into this one with very low expectations... and it is pretty much what you would expect.  All the serpents, dragons and other creatures that they created with CGI was decent enough for the budget I imagine they had to work with (maybe the higher end of a low budget)... so weren't the greatest... but with the subject matter they looked pretty cool. With that being said... it did entertain me. I don't know... I guess I just like a good bad movie every so often. And this one qualified. The movie had Jason Behr in it. If that name sounds familiar to you... it is probably because he was one of the stars of the TV Series Roswell. The story left a bit to be desired as well of course. But over-all a decent way to waste an hour and a half... but at the same time it is something that you really have to be in the mood to watch.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Synopsis: Chemical waste is brought illiegally through the New York-New Jersey tunnel. Thieves who have just robbed a jewelry store try to escape and ram these trucks. This causes an explosion and both sides of the tunnel collapse. Kit Latura, limo driver and fired chief of Emergency Medical Services goes in and tries to rescue possible survivors. But there are a lot of obstacles: The fires are still burning, the tunnel is getting flooded and the walls are caving in.

My Opinion: Technically this is not a Science-Fiction movie, but I was in the mood for another Sly movie and a lot of stuff gets blown up here. ;) It's a standard action no-brainer with all kind of action scenes, but also a lot of personal drama, like the decision when you actively have to leave someone behind and you'll know he is going to die alone but there's nothing you can do.
As you can see I watch a whole lot of movies that have plotholes the size of the moon and yet there are some story elements that bug me - even in such movies. In this one it was the mayor's(?) decision to re-open both ends of the tunnel now. Why? Because the tunnel is an traffic artery and she needs to send cars through it again. --- In reality such a tunnel would be closed for months for inspections and repairs even if it wouldn't collapse the minute they open the ends.

Ghost Whisperer Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Disc 2:

5. A GRAVE MATTER
On Halloween, Melinda is visited by the ghost of an author who claims he is in the wrong grave, while Delia is visited by a ghostlooking for her handbag.

My Thoughts:
Ohhhh a Halloween episode. I just love Halloween episodes of TV Series! This is a really good one... even though they do downplay Halloween in it. Kinda just in the background. The story was good though.

6. THE WOMAN OF HIS DREAMS
Jim is haunted by a beautiful model who died having plastic surgery, and who may be trying to warn her younger sister not to follow in her footsteps.

My Thoughts:
a good episode. This time it is Jim's turn to help a ghost... only Melinda isn't around much to help him out! She is visiting her mother... who just had an operation herself.

7. A VICIOUS CIRCLE
While camping with Jim, Melinda encounters a mother who died in a snowstorm, who is determined to protect the daughter she supposedly abandoned.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... but not great. I think it could have been better.

8. THE NIGHT WE MET
Melinda worries that the ghost of a man who died in a fire may now be an arsonist. She's also worried that Jim forgot the anniversary of the night they met.

My Thoughts:
This episode I liked a lot... not only is it a good story when it comes to the ghost... but I also really enjoyed seeing how Melinda and Jim got together. And I loved how Jim toyed with Melinda... acting like he forgot the anniversary of when they met. Something like I would do... used to make Dawn (my late wife) nuts!
