Coach Carter, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Coach Carter: Widescreen Collection Year: 2005 Director: Thomas Carter Rating: PG-13 Length: 136 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, English: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, French: Dolby Digital: 5.1 Subtitles: English, Spanish Stars: Samuel L. Jackson Rob Brown Robert Ri'chard Rick Gonzalez Nana Gbewonyo Antwon Tanner Plot:Extras: Scene Access Bonus Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Music Videos Closed Captioned My Thoughts: This is one I enjoyed. It has a very good story. And it was a lot of fun watching all the basketball as well. When I first popped this one in I didn't notice the case said it was based on a true story... I didn't realize it until they started to give updates on all the characters at the end of the movie. That makes the movie that much more enjoyable. I thought Samuel L. Jackson was wonderful in the title role. If you haven't seen this one yet... I would recommend checking it out. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unwatched DVDs on August 8th, 2010) WarGames, a review by DragonfireMy Thoughts I first saw this one years ago on television and watched it several more times since I enjoyed it. I just got the DVD on Friday and this was the first time that I had seen the movie in several years. I still really enjoyed it. It was kind of funny to see the computers and think that all that stuff was high tech when the movie came out. I thought that the plot was very interesting and I remember finding it very suspenseful the first time I saw the movie. It was really scary to me to think that computers would control something like that and not be able to be stopped if something went wrong. All the computer stuff does look dated, but I think the movie has held up well and is still entertaining. Sneaking back to check on the boys, they get locked outside! My Thoughts: I normally really like this show. Even after all these years the episodes provides lots of laughs. But unfortunately this episode don't quite live up to most the other episodes. It don't have nearly as many laughs. My Rating: (From The Good Old Days TV Thread on February 18th, 2010) |
