Dressed to Kill, a review by addicted2dvdDressed to Kill (1946) A convicted thief in Dartmoor prison hides the location of the stolen Bank of England printing plates inside three music boxes. When the innocent purchasers of the boxes start to be murdered, Holmes and Watson investigate. My Thoughts: all the sudden I got in the mood for some classic Sherlock Holmes movies. I haven't seen many of these... matter of fact I have 3 in my collection I never seen. I got this movie in the free 20 Disc 40 movie boxset I got for subscribing to Total Movie Magazine. So I thought I would at least work on those some today. It is the first time I ever seen this movie. It wasn't a bad movie... but I have seen better. The ending was kind of sudden and a bit contrived. Quality has been bad to decent in this boxset. This one the quality was ok... but definitely could have been better. There is some film damage that was never cleaned. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From What Movies I Been Watching on July 19th, 2009) Black Adam, a review by Tom
Stars: Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam / Teth Adam Aldis Hodge as Hawkman / Carter Hall Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate / Kent Nelson Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher / Al Rothstein Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz Plot: Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods--and imprisoned just as quickly--Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world. Extras:
My Thoughts: Black Adam is a superhero, that I didn't know before. I also was suprised, that he essentially got the Shazam powers. The action sequences were good. There was not much of a story here. I am not suprised, that the movie didn't fair so well. I think Shazam 2 and this movie would have been better, if they would have made it a crossover.Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on July 10th, 2023) Tom's Random Star Trek Reviews, a review by TomDS9 7.12 The Emperor's New Cloak Writer: Ira Steven Behr (Writer), Hans Beimler (Writer) Director: LeVar Burton Cast (From Tom's Random Star Trek Reviews on September 26th, 2009) |
