Extras: Commentary DVD-ROM Content Featurettes Interactive Game Short film "Hammys Bumerang Abenteuer" Photo Gallery Scene Access Trailers My Thoughts: Great movie with great animation! With fun characters voiced by an all-star cast which is put into good use. William Shatner as an opossum who over-dramatically fakes his own deaths is great . I love how Shatner has embraced parodying himself the last 10 years or so. Steve Carell is also great as the voice of Hammy. He was an even worse actor then than he is now (and thats saying something) but he sure could fight, and his trademark splits were portrayed several times. Definately a lads film with more and more violent bouts, a baddie in the guise of Bolo Yeung, a multitude of different fighting styles on show, and an early Forest Whittaker performance. The loose sub plots do not detract from the main aim of the film, namely a high kicking ball busting scrapfest, which was delivered with aplomb. One to watch with a few mates and a crate of beer. Plot: Hideki Motosuwa is a poor country guy who just moved to the city to further his study. One day on his way home from work, he discovers a 'Persocom', a maiden-shaped robot laying in the dumpster, discarded and wrapped up in bandages. Chobits 1.01 Chii erwacht In the world of Chobits, PCs are now computers which are looking like people. When I first saw this series, I expected the premise to be more interesting. Even though it is a good anime. Rating: (From Tom's TV Pilots marathon on March 31st, 2011) |
