The Bourne Identity, a review by Tom
Stars: Matt Damon as Bourne Franka Potente as Marie Chris Cooper as Conklin Clive Owen as The Professor Brian Cox as Ward Abbott Plot: A man (Bourne) is fished out of the Mediterranean Sea riddled with bullet-holes and with no memory of who he is. He makes the surprising discovery that he knows how to speak several languages, has plenty of money and passports in a safety deposit box, and he knows how to kill anything that moves. Retracing his steps, he finds himself being hunted by the government and, with the help of a pretty German globetrotter, he goes in search of his identity. Awards: Won:

My Thoughts: I am currently watching the fourth season of Chuck and in an episode I recently watched, Richard Chamberlain guest-starred. This and the series itself put me in the moot to rewatch Bourne Identity, though I didn't choose to watch the TV movie with Richard Chamberlain but the movie with Matt Damon. It has been a few years since I have seen it. It's still a great movie. I remember that the first time I saw it I thought that the action scenes were too fast. But now, after every movie has gotten much faster and you don't see anything anymore, I found this first Bourne Identity surprisingly well cut in the action scenes. You can see the action even though it is fast.Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on October 10th, 2011) Nights in Rodanthe, a review by KinkyCyborgTitle:Nights in Rodanthe Year: 2008 Director: George C. Wolfe, Nancy Ventura Rating: PG-13 Length: 97 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1 Subtitles: Stars: Richard Gere Diane Lane Christopher Meloni Viola Davis Becky Ann Baker Plot: The stars of Unfaithful rekindle their screen chemistry in this rich tale of hearts awakenings based on a bestseller by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook, Message In A Bottle). Richard Gere is Paul, a surgeon who long ago unwittingly traded family for career. Diane Lane is Adrienne, a devoted mother trying to move on after her husbands infidelity and struggling with his desire to return to their marriage. At a remote inn on the Outer Banks, Paul and Adrienne expect to do some serious soul-searching. But an approaching storm forces each to turn to the other for strength, setting the stage for a life-resonating romance. Extras: Scene Access My Thoughts: I use a random number generator at http://www.random.org/integers/ to choose which movie I will watch next and fate would have it that I would watch a second Richard Gere movie in a row. First off....... yes, I watch chick flicks. The purchase of the 2% of these movies makes it easier to justify the purchase of the other 98% to my wife. This genre is Gere's bread and butter and once again he delivers. My wife was all agush during and well after the movie ended. The story was good even if the ending was predictable. Fortunately for me Diane Lane is still very much eye candy even as she enters middle age and I could think of worse things than watching her for 90 minutes. I rather enjoyed this movie but it left me asking one question. When did Scott Glenn, who has a bit part in this movie, get so old??! KC Rating: (From KinkyCyborg's Random Reviews 2010 on May 26th, 2010) The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ DoenaAirwolf What's the show about? Airwolf is a specially-equipped and -armored helicopter that can go supersonic. Stringfellow Hawke is the pilot of that gunship and he keeps it hidden from The Firm, a branch of the CIA who developed and built Airwolf. Hawke however uses the helicopter in missions for The Firm, mostly in Third-World-Countries and behind the Iron Curtain. "Shadow of the Hawke" Dr. Muffet is the creator of Airwolf but after a successful demonstrations he kidnaps the helicopter ti Libya from where he attacks french Mirages and sinks an US destroyer. Stringfellow Hawke is a former test pilot of Airwolf and he gets the assignment of returning Airwolf. My Opinion "Airwolf" is the total opposite to "The A-Team" when it comes to the death toll. Although I liked the show it became ludicrous when the Airwolf crew vistited "East Germany". But that can be said about almost every american movie/show in the 70s/80s, so I won't hold it against Airwolf. (From The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon on January 6th, 2008) |
