Hannah Montana: The Movie, a review by addicted2comics

The Plot: Miley is sent to her home town in Tennesee to learn about her roots when her father think she has grown too accustomed to the "city life" in California.While there, Miley starts to wonder, if it would be better for everyone to reveal her secret to the public: Hannah Montana is Miley Stewart. Meanwhile her father starys to rekindle his romantic side, and the town is trying to save land from being turned into a mall.

My Thoughts: I thought this movie was really heart-touching, and the ending was so powerfully stated that I admit I almost cried, but I'm not gonna spoil it for you, so if you wanna know what it was, either go to a site for spoilers or watch it yourself! It was still missing that light-hearted-sense that the series has, but for the message of that movie, that's ok. It had some fun songs, some more serious, and it's easy to say this movie isn't about Hannah Montana, it's about Miley. I give it 4.5 out of 5.

The new Enterprise is a single constructional defect. Nothing really works. But then something happens on the "Planet of Galactic Peace", Nimbus III. The ambassadors of the Federation, the Romulans and the Klingons get kidnapped and the Enterprise must come to the rescue.

My opinion:
Most Trekkies say it's the worst of all. I can't agree with that. It is indeed far-fetched that Spock suddenly has a half-brother who is on a big emo trip. But other than that? A man who is on the search for God and gets on the wrong track - that's not uncommon. And the movie had a lot of good sentimental moments as well as funny ones to compensate the former ones.
But they have a problem with deck counting. Since when does the number increase when you get higher? And 78 decks? But that was also a problem in Star Trek 8 and 10 (or it will be).

The Good Old Days TV Thread, a review by addicted2dvd

My Thoughts:
When this originally aired I was only 7 years old. It really is no more then a children's show. I was basically the right age (around 7) when this originally aired. This series really has nothing for the adult who never seen the series before. You would look at this and basically think silly kid show. It would still entertain the 5-8yr old kids I believe... but other then that... this set is good for nothing more then nostalgia. This show lasted one season back in 1976. The very next year the star of the show (Fred Grady) went to the series The Love Boat as Gopher.  This is no more then a silly show where a group of monsters go up against silly ('60s Batman style) super-villains. with the help of the night watchman (who woke them)... trying to show the world that monsters is not something you need to be scared of. This is definitely a show I couldn't watch very often. It is really of no use other then something to laugh at... to laugh at the silly stuff we watched as a little kid.

My Rating: (Would be lower... but gave an extra point for childhood Nostalgia)
