Audio: English, French, Spanish and Portuguese

Plot:
The Blob has returned in this horrific tale about a vile, malignant life-form that crashes to earth in a cozy, rural American town called Arborville. Untroubled by conscience or intellect, the Blob does only one thing - and it does it well. It eats anything and everything that moves: men, women, children. And tonight it wants to swallow Arborville whole. The original version of 'The Blob' thrilled and terrified audiences back in the 1950s. Now the oozing, gooey killer is back with a whole new high-tech look. What was once only suggested now comes to life in this visually gut-wrenching thriller in the tradition of such classic remakes as The Thing and The Fly.

My Thoughts:
Perfect of a remake well done who wasn't a big hit for some unknown reasons when it was released. The effects are perfect and a proof again that CGI isn't necessary at all when you have talents to combine miniature, matte painting and practical FX. Just watch the theatre and the sewer scenes and try to say that I'm wrong... They even have the guts to do something most movie will rarely do. Most people had seen that film so no point to write a lot about it.

The end was open for a sequel that didn't happen because of the box office faillure, but maybe it's better. Just imagine that we could have got a remake of Beware! The Blob

The Prestige, a review by Jon

The Prestige
4 out of 5

Is there a secret you would kill to know? In this electrifying, suspense-packed thriller from director Christoper Nolan (Batman Begins, Memento), Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale play magicians whose cut-throat attempts to best each other plunge them into deadly deceptions. Scarlett Johanssen also stars as the stage assistant who's both a pawn and player in their rivalry. A brilliant supporting cast (including Michael Caine and David Bowie). An ingenious story. An astonishing payoff. Once you see The Prestige, you'll want to see it again. Watch closely.

Charmed Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Disc 6:

"Apocalypse Not"
Original Airdate: May 11, 2000
Piper, Phoebe and Leo must rescue Prue, who has become trapped in a vortex with one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... though basically a filler episode. Nothing really all that special about it.

"Be Careful What You Witch For"
Original Airdate: May 18, 2000
Prue is killed and Piper and Phoebe are powerless to reverse the deadly damage when a fast-talking genie working for a Dragon Warlock grants each of the sisters a wish.

My Thoughts:
they decided to end this season with more of a fun episode then something serious. They had French Stewert to guest star as the genie... which I doubted the first time I heard about it... but he actually did a good job. It is kinda odd how they temporarily killed Prue in this episode what with what happens at the end of the next season.

Over-All Season 2 Thoughts:
Over-all I felt this was a good strong season. I am kinda glad Dan (Piper's boyfriend neighbor) is now gone... as I never much liked that character. Unfortunately this season has no extras what so ever... besides basic promo trailers on the first disc.
