Jimmy is doing an awesome job indexing our reviews on here... and I for one really appreciate it! Thanks Jimmy!

I thought of something that would at least be more helpful to me... and want to see what others thought of this idea...

I was thinking that to go along with Jimmy's review index by letter that it would be good to have a thread devoted for an index by reviewer. This way we can easily find and read a favorite reviewer's other reviews... and an easy place for us to look at our own list to see if we already reviewed a movie or not.

I wouldn't dream of putting more on Jimmy... so if you all like the idea... and Jimmy & Karsten likes the idea and don't mind... I would offer up my services to create and maintain the reviews by reviewer thread. I would just need access to create/edit the one thread here on this board if it is wanted and possible.

The way I see it... it would look something like...

I don't have anything against this idea (though I do not see the real benefit), but if it is done, it would be best if it was something which is generated automatically from Jimmy's list.

Yeah... I have done it some from the alphabetical list myself... but while trying to find something to watch that I didn't already review this weekend was getting a little aggravating (one reason I watched nothing till today)... that is when it occurred to me... it would be so much easier if I could see everything I reviewed in one place.

If it could be automatically generated by Jimmy's list... that would be awesome! The main reason I offered is because I am the one asking for it... and I didn't want to put more on Jimmy.

I have started to track my review links in my local database (I even have gone back and entered all my existing review links). This way I can see directly in my collection, if I have reviewed a movie or not. And I also can generate my monthly movie listings to include the links to my reviews.

I'm not sure how often it gets updated, but don't we have this already? In the forum list, right under the subforum title "Jimmy's Reviews List" is a smaller link "Reviews by member", which points to:

That's great! It's not up-to-date, but all the same, it's pretty good. Easy to update? 

You click the 'Reviews List' link to reveal the 'Reviews by Member', but it might not be there...

This is what led to the whole debate of the magic link (the one Matthias described) that only a fabled few had seen, not including the site owner. Karsten eventually did find the option which he shows you how to get in his screenshot at the top of this page.

Yes. When you post a new update, I'll run an update over the list and generate the random reviews table, too.
