I see some of you cannot wait till the official start of the marathon ;)

Well, self-control is not usually the main quality of most collectors!
I was going to point out, that I did not watch the first disc today and really watched South Park (which was absolutely hilarious, by the way). But now, if I say that now, I may come off as a half-a$$ collector :hmmmm:

Better half-a$$ than a complete a$$ I always say   :yu:

Are we to have 1 post with ratings/comments that we update as we go, or do we post after watching each episode individually?

Do we discuss in the main marathon thread? Or do we open a new/use this one for discussions?

You can make one post per episode or one post per multiple episode collectively when you watch more in a row. Make new posts for new comments and do not update the existing. Discussion will also be in the same thread.
It is essentially a discussion thread where you post your opinions of each episode and discuss points of comments by others.
It's like series marathon thread often done for example by Karsten (or my recent try with Caroline in the City). Only now we are doing this together instead one person doing it alone.

My comment was directed mostly at Karsten as his comment sounded like he already watched some episodes (already knowing how the subtitles are like :hmmmm::tease:

Me too, but for a potentially different reason: I refuse to watch it on TV. Too many ads.

I work nights so unless they repeat it on the weekend I'll have to wait for the DVD to  :weep:

Me too.  The show is just as funny as it was during the first season.
I have learned though that I can't snack while watching it.  I was doing that and started laughing at something Sheldon said and almost choked.  So no more food during the show.
