Faszinating
« on: January 28, 2015, 09:11:57 PM »
During Black Friday week and Cyber Monday and whatnot I ordered quite a few DVDs from Amazon.com.

On Monday the last one finally arrived.

The curious thing is, it's not - by far - the latest one shipped.

Here's a list of shipping dates and their actual arrival. ;)

Nov 24 -> Dec 22 -> 28 days
Nov 24 -> Dec 22 -> 28 days
Nov 25 -> Dec 26 -> 31 days
Nov 28 -> Jan 05 -> 38 days
Dec 01 -> Jan 26 -> 56 days
Dec 01 -> Dec 28 -> 27 days

Dec 03 -> Dec 31 -> 28 days
Dec 15 -> Jan 16 -> 32 days
Dec 16 -> Jan 09 -> 24 days
Dec 24 -> Jan 20 -> 27 days

Which means orders took between 3 weeks and a bit up to 8 weeks and one of two packages shipped on the same day took more than twice as long to arrive.

I'd love to see their travel routes ...

If ordered from Amazon.com it's more likely that they had a prolonged stay at the German customs.
