April 2008 Numerical Marathon
«
on:
March 31, 2008, 10:21:36 AM »
As per discussions in the marathon brainstorming thread, April will be
'NUMERICAL MARATHON'
month
Watch as many titles with different numbers, either at the beginning or within the titles, concurrently as possible.
In addition, an episode number from a series can count for missing numbers, so keeps the marathon pretty fluid.
From Tom, it is also allowed to count the title's length for the numbers, example
'no country for old men'
could be used to fill the 18 slot.
Volume of marathon dependent on user.
Example;
1 good cop
2 weeks notice
3 amigos
4 defcon4
5 children and it
6 hamlet (6 letters)
7 friends s1 episode
7
etc
etc
All marathon lists should follow in this thread, so book your place and start planning - it begins tomorrow

Unwatched items are subject to change.
A marathon has 26 miles; but maybe I can manage more...
I am again adjusting my rating (following I-forgot-who's example) in order to have a few more choices available:
= Excellent
= now that was quite good
= I enjoyed it
= not really bad, but not good either
= boring
= bad or worse

Well, I could still switch it with "Three... Extremes 2", if you insist, but I figured a Triangle has
3
corners, so that should count for something, right?
Haha, there I was expecting to get called out for "Season 2, Episode
1
"...

FYI: I will also count the spaces in my titles. This way I can use the following filter in my CCViewer:
SELECT p.ProfileID, p.Title, p.ColNo, p.SortTitle, p.Originaltitle, p.OriginalSortTitle, p.Description FROM Profiles p WHERE len(p.Title) = $Length$ or len(p.OriginalTitle) = $Length$

I'll join in, though I don't know how many movies I'll be able to watch with the hockey playoffs starting on April 9, and the Canadiens taking part in them!

Can I make it a half marathon and "sign up" for 15 movies only ? I know I won't be able to watch 30.
