Is there a good Connery Bond set?

I've never been that big of a Bond fan, but I really like Daniel Craig in the role.

But it seems hard to get Bond by eras, only these big "all 22 movies" boxes I'm not interested in.

In your locality is there a good set that just contains the Connery Bonds?

It's probably worth it. I bought all Bonds separately at the time and paid about 30 marks (15€) each.

Good for you Karsten! I too bought the Bond 50. And so far i love what i've seen.
Dont think you will regret it 1 sec! Well worth the money, so far.

What I found odd was the huge price differences in the seperate markets.

Amazon.ca: CA$ 180 = € 141 + import fees
Amazon.com: $ 170 = € 130 + import fees
Amazon.co.uk: £ 90 = € 111
Amazon.de: € 142

Guess where I ordered. :D

2 days ago I received an email from amazon.com. They had all the James Bond Blu-ray films on sale for $7.99 each. These were the new release cover ones.

Dragonfire

I got all the Bond except Quantum of Solace in 4 sets..Ultimate Bond Collection or something like that.  Quantum of Solace I got separately...maybe Casino Royale too.  Anyway, with the sets, each one had a mix of the movies..they weren't grouped by who was playing Bond or even the years made.  I either heard in an interview or read somewhere that it was done that way so if people wanted all of the Connery or Moore Bond movies, they would have to buy all the sets.  Eventually they released a set that had all the movies in them.
I'm not going to double dip and get them again on Blu.  I got a few of the sets as gifts..I got the others for like $30 each or so...which was really good since they had 4 or 5 movies each in them.

Is it Region A...? Since I could have it shipped to my parents and pick it up there, I might be convinced. Only two double dips in there (the two Craig ones)...

According to blu-ray.com it's region free (if you talk about the british release)
I was talking about the UK release (seems only appropriate for Bond anyway )

But I find the information there still inclusive. One guy mentioned that QoS is region locked (ok, I own that already) and even worse the prevail features disc as well!

Jimmy

Just cheked Amazon.uk and you are right. Everything is listed as region free except the discs 22 and 23. You aren't region free? I tought they were easier to find in Asia considering that Hong Kong isn't that far...

Well, no. I tried but ended up with a PAL capable Region A machine. So I could watch my Son Of Rambow but still couldn't watch Atlantis or Wild Geese :(

Like I said, I wouldn't mind disc 22, but would feel really stupid not to watch disc 23. Will have to wSit for price drops on region A in two years or so (I remember how low the Kubrick set dropped...)

Well, he is with the British Secret Service after all.  ;D

I don't think we'll ever see boxes around the actors that played James Bond. Who'd ever want to buy the Roger Moore set unless it is rebranded as comedy

And certainly not Connery, as the rights of "Never Say Never Again" are with a completely different studio...
