This is/was the last season for House M.D.. It was decided by the main stars of the show (instead of the FOX network) months ago that the series would end due to the ratings getting lower and the stories getting weaker. They also promoted, though, that the series would end with a bang. Naturally they wanted to show to end with as much popularity still in tact as possible.

Without the main character, Gregory House, wanting to continue, there really couldn't be a show any longer. No one could suddenly replace him in a new season.

I watched the last season of House as it originally aired on TV... While I still liked it... I did feel it took a step downward. It also took quite a while for me to get used to the new team.

The way they ended the series... I would say it would be difficult at best to do a new season in a believable way... even if the main star decided he wanted back. But I am looking forward to my season 8 set to arrive.

addicted2dvd,  when u get the last season to house u will really enjoy it. I have always loved house but his last one was very good. The way it ended was amazing.
