Universal look to be rebooting this franchise with Prometheus screenwriter Jon Spaihts.

I don't care what anybody says, all three of more recent Mummy films were good fun, the first being great fun. The Scorpion King wasn't great though and there's three of them now. The second has been in my to watch pile since release.
