I've never seen any episode of "Six feet under" but people seem talk very highly of it.  Seasons 1 to 5 at 19$ each, is it worth buying all 5 and is it the complete series ?

You LOLCat? ;)

I watched a few episodes but didn't find it that interesting. But I know people who like it very much and I am more of a fantasy series guy.

It was billed as a black comedy when it was shown over here. I didn't find too much to laugh at. Gave up part way through Season 1.

There were some quite cool faux adverts for embalming fluid and stuff IIRC.

Sorry... don't know... never watched Six Feet Under.

But I did take advantage of this sale this morning...

- Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (Blind Buy)
- The Comeback (was ok... but nothing really special)
- The Invasion (Saw a couple eps... looked good)

All 3 complete series sets. :)

6 Feet Under was considered one of the better HBO original series.  It's about a dysfunctional family of undertakers running the family funeral home.  It's very good if you like dramas.  I'm quite surprised that it's gotten 3 neutral to negative reviews in a row.  It typically gets very good reviews.

It turns out that my sister has the whole thing so I'll borrow season 1 and if I like it I'll buy them later.  I put my money into another DD sale and ordered some movies at 7.98 a piece.

Well, maybe Alan Ball's next HBO series is more to your liking. True Blood (based on the Southern Vampires books) starts this fall.

I myself consider SFU one of the best US TV series ever. But as Mark said, it is first and formost a drama series - and while it sometimes is hilarious and macabre, the label "black comedy" is misleading (although I remember it being promoted that way in Germany as well).
