Once Upon a Time in the West is a transcendent film experience. I've watched it close to ten times now, and it just keeps getting better and better.

Agreed and a rare version of the poster is my favourite of all. I actually didn't like OUATIA the first time I saw it, but I'm having a similar effect with that one. I now have the Blu-Ray and I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

I can break the predictability because I've only seen the Man with No Name films. Haven't seen either "Once Upon a Time" films.  :-[

I'll try to fix that problem though.

The only part I don't care for is the protracted rape scene. Leone just went too far with it.

I have seen Duck, You Sucker, but fail to remember it enough to list it above :bag: Probably lime green though, I think.

EDIT:
Rumor has it they found an Italian print with more material and are planning to release the film with an additional hour of footage! That would make it a 5-hour film :o Source.

Exactly the scene I was thinking of too, but it seemed to work better the next time I saw it. I wonder how I'll react the next time.

Is that the scene in the car...? The driver waiting outside while he rapes her?

Oh, this is an easy one for me! I love his films.  Duck, You Sucker would be my least favorite, but I've even warmed up to that one after a couple viewings. ;D

Once Upon A Time In America is a favorite of mine and noteworthy as Leone for the first time brushes off the dust of the old west and enters a different era, with different types of characters and did it extremely well. The early part of the film showing the coming of age and cementing of friendships among the young hoodlums was even better storytelling than after they are all grown up. The first time I watched the rape scene I felt it was inappropriate but after subsequent viewings it does not bother me so much.

Duck You Sucker is on my wish list.  :tomato:
