Maybe but ...
The fact that King like or not the end is not revelent, this is not a good end. There's no reason for the apparition of the army to save the day. This end ruins a movie who was not so bad untill than, not a flawless movie but certainly one of the good Stephen King book's adapdation.

I admit I slowly begin to understand what the other people read into that ending; like I said, it gives the main character a big kick in the arse and he will suffer for the rest of his life. If one considers the film to be about this one guy, then the focus of the ending is correct, but in now way is it rectified (the guy didn't do anything to deserve this ). I still agree on the awfulness on the ending in itself.
Quote
By the way I don't trust King : he is the one who had directed "Maximum Overdrive"
:hysterical: Very good point! That surely were wasted 90 minutes of my life too (this comment is not about The Mist, you can reveal this Spoiler, it is not about The Mist itself).
Agreed! Pete reviewed it in one of his marathons and said how great it was forever proving that he really is very forgiving!
<safe spoiler

Empire did a rundown of King films and proved that when he gets involved, they invariable go wrong.

Ok, so it's a while since I watched this, but I thought that it was an alright Emilio Estevez filum.

I'll agree here, but ... when the more known movies in your career are the Mighty Ducks series this is not really hard to do better
