One of those days

I'm having one of those days. It started last night when I went to hit the button to turn off the air conditioner. At 2am I hit my left eye and the bridge of my nose on the edge of the dresser.

Despite icing it on and off throughout the night I now have a golf ball size lump on my forehead just above my nose. I also have a black left eye. What's worse is I broke some blood vessels on the upper eyelid which makes it look like I have a big black worm on it. The swelling is so bad I can't open my eye. I feel, like Rocky, "cut me Mick" so I can see.

Then, I brought in a bag of cat litter and placed it in the front hall. When I went out to get it and lifted it up, the bottom was torn and I got it all over the place.

What else? Well, my elderly dog has a urinary infection. I was laying down icing my face again and I hear the sounds of a bladder emptying in the kitchen by the door! It's my fault I know she needs to go out more often but I was too busy feeling sorry for myself. Agh!

So here I sit all beat up looking and pissed off...what a day. Ah well, tomorrow has to be better.

I know what it's like regarding that kind of cat accident.  I had a large (cheap) bag of cat food once...the glue holding the bottom flap shut gave way and opened up and I had about 20 pounds of cat food scattered on the floor.  On top of that, the cats didn't like that brand anyway.

The well wishes are appreciated. I stayed home and did nothing today - I didn't want to tempt fate. I'm feeling a little bit better tonight although my face is getting worse. I hate to thing what I will look like in a few days!

All teasing aside, just think that this day is almost over (5 hours to go) and tomorrow will be better

Well that did the trick. I actually feel much better today. The headache is gone but I look like a monster. I can't wait to visit my niece and nephews and let them see me!

Sometimes I find I get days that make up for the super bad ones not far off.
