At home I'm used to have a 32Mbit internet connection. Now I'm on vacation on a camping site with wireless internet connection with max band width of < 1Mbit. What a painful slow connection - I can meet and greet every single byte (Apart from many network interruptions)

Yes, I enjoy my vacations, but I need my internet! I'm online addicted  :(

You know, when im at home I spent about 75% of my waking life on the internet, I hate it! Im completely addicted sometimes I try to not come on online and i cant concentrate on the other thing because im thinking about being online.... But.... im not at home I don't need the internet, I have the net on my phone and the only reason I used it whist I was on holiday was because a friend of mine needed to ask me a question... she could have easily have sent me a text message but the internet was free... its strange... I wish I wasn't so addicted when I was at home :p

That's why I try to avoid vacations whenever possible.

You get used to a stable 32 MBit connection extremly fast.

I am totally addicted at home and absolutely internet free on vacation. I don't even think about it. The power of the Sea is strong  ;D

I am quite addicted to the internet when I am at home. But I can happily go a few weeks on a holiday without it. I'm not the type to try track down internet cafes etc while I'm overseas to try get online, I just avoid computers for most of the time. When I get back from the holiday though I'm straight back to using the internet constantly.

How true!  ;D

Recently I heard that my provider started to test 100Mbit connections for consumers...  :drooling:

Tom

I have a 1MBit connection at home, because the DSL connection here is really poor (outside the city). But we have VDSL here now, with 25Mbit and 50MBit. But I am still thinking if for me the upgrade is worth the hassle (new hardware) and higher monthly fee.

Achim

I pay for a 8Mbit connection, but it performs rather poorly (I think, assuming what it should do).

The worst is the PlayStation server in Hong Kong. It's clearly not caused by my connection that recently downloads happen at a rate of 1MB/min :-\

I am not addicted.
Experts call this the denial stage. :bag:
If you can get cable TV check Kabel Deutschland (kahless and I are happy (well, at least most of the times) customers there) they provide a real 32 MBit connection (on glassfibre).

If this isn't possible you might want to check here for mobile access (Vodafone is offering a 7 MBit flat for € 19,95)
